"Lake nice. Rooms like any Ibis but too expensive. Small swimming pool we didn't use it. And paying extra for amenities and Internet it's just a terrible idea. Why don't they just ad 15 pounds to the price of the room and don't act like a low cost airline. The resort is not low cost. Brilliant lake view from the Lodge. Ugly restaurant and bar. The machines doesn't work they keep your money and lady in reception couldn't help. It's not a 4 stars hotel! ITS NOT LAKE...

"Excellent and charming renovated period buildinh with very responsive communication before and during stay. 15min walk from train station and business terminus and 10min into town center. Beautiful and serene garden and patio. Quality of the rooms and amenities are high/new. ‘Kozy’ rooms are best for short stays as they are truly cozy, especially sinks in the bathroom. For long stays, chose a regular/double."

"The property was lovely with well furnished. Sadly the hot water in the shower wasn’t working despite reporting it after the first day. Cold showers aren’t very nice. When paying top price for accommodation the hot water should a given, essential part of the service. Plus the cleaners were knocking on the door before the allotted 10am check out!!"

"Very impressed with the barn suitability and comfortness. Kev was a fantastic host with local knowledge and was very helpful. "Nice hotel, pretty standard layout, a little old now and tied in places by the look of it room is clean decor from the 1980s at Best functional, Service was pretty friendly on checking. Didn’t read anywhere about the parking issue they have outsourced it, so you have to pay extra for that And be careful if you don’t because it’s got APR cameras, not quite what you expect in the Lake District"

Super for Families - Everything You Need
"I stayed here with my partner and 2 young children. We booked a room with two double beds - this was perfect. What really impressed me about the hotel was the extra details everywhere to make it really welcoming and easy for families. Toys, games, high chairs, ramps and accesible options - and even some secret doors for elves & fairies hidden around the place. The hotel has a super heated, indoor swimming pool, and a playground outside. I also really appreciated the box of "help yourself" to extra tea, coffee and milk at the reception. These details make all the difference and I want to say a big thank you to the team at Holiday Inn, Lancaster - you are great!!"
