Perfect Lakeside retreat

We really love this house and it had all the amenities we needed. Our hosts were always responsive to any questions we had. We did not want for anything at this rental and we treated it like it was our home in return. We really appreciated the ease of the check-in process. The kitchen had everything we needed, and all the bedrooms were perfect.The location was quiet and serene! Thank you to our hosts for allowing us to stay!

Lakehouse retreat

Wonderful cottage with all essentials and more. Clean and well appointed and everything in working order. Very quiet area looking south west. Sunny dock with shaded deck for those hot days. Beautiful lake. We had a great time!

Lakehouse - A Gem on Wahwashkesh Lake

We had a wonderful time in a house that exceeded our expectations in every way. The location right on Wahwashkesh Lake is stunning, offering a perfect setting for relaxation in nature. The house itself is stylishly built and furnished from top to bottom. Everything is new, well-maintained and very clean. Nothing was lacking: The kitchen was fully equipped, there were plenty of hand towels, bath towels and beach towels available. Even canoes and life jackets were provided – all in excellent condition. Melinda and Brian have put a lot of love into the details, ensuring that we felt at home right away. A particularly nice touch was finding the book "The Lake House" by Kate Morton in the living room – a truly thoughtful gesture. We greatly appreciated that we could reach out to Melinda and Brian at any time with questions and always received prompt assistance. We thank Melinda and Brian for the unforgettable time and look forward to returning!

Great holiday at Makwa Lakehouse!

My family had a wonderful week relaxing on Wahwashkesh Lake. The house was very clean and comfortable with modern furnishings, a well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom, comfy beds and privacy between the cottages on a quiet bay off the main lake. Melinda was always available to answer any questions and the internet was great when we needed it. We were sad to leave at the end of the week but plan to book a holiday back here in 2025.

Wonderful retreat!!

We had an amazing time at this cottage. The cottage is beautifully appointment. Extremelly well equipped it was very comfortable to spend the week. Everything is new, every detail is thought through. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is light clean and modern. The area was very peaceful and quiet. The surroundings are beautiful. The lake is great. There were all we needed to be entertained. We can only recommend.

An excellent stay!

The cottage was exactly as described! The cottage was extraordinarily clean and so well equipped. From the kitchen appliances to the towels to the boats and paddle boards, we weren’t left wanting for anything. The water and dock were wonderful and the fire pit and picnic table made for fun evenings with smores and roasted hot dogs. Miranda was very fast responding and the check in and check out process was a breeze. We would love to come back!

Lakehouse cottage

Ads are not always as they say. This cottage surpassed out expectations. Every thing up to the smallest item like a cork screw, steamer, take home bags, all utensils, a great coffee maker and a big fridge and a small fridge were provided. Lots of room. Beds were awesome. Lots of towels. The water was magnificent. No lack of chairs on the dock or by the fire pit. There were 5 of use. Shower was great. Towels of good quality. Kitchen and eating area had so much space for enjoying meals. The TV and internet were awesome. On the one rainy day we enjoyed movies. My children were of course happy with the hi speed internet connection. Enough space between neighbours where we could have the bluetooth speaker playing our music. Big sink for washing dishes. Dishwasher as well. We did not have to use the washer and dryer but they are modern and high grade. My daughter actually asked me to ask the owners what kind of shampoo and conditioner was in the dispensers. LOL. She is fussy. The bbq worked awesome. I am a cook and it was easy. Bottom line it is not often you pay for what you get. This time from start to finish it was. Melinda answered all my question before hand and while we were there. I highly recommend this cottage as a place to stay at. In the famous words of the terminator. "i' be back.

Great Canadian Outdoors!

This cottage is magnificent! The dirt roads are easy to navigate and as soon as you pull into the driveway you see the water down the hill. Highly recommend if you’re looking to be away for the city. Melinda was quick to respond to every question we had from wifi password to where to find the washer and dryer.
