Due to flight times from Florida, we arrived in the evening, but he was there to greet us with his warm smile & friendly demeanor. The cottage is ideal! "The house exactly as described! Comfortable and cozy! When driving up at night, it’s the first driveway past the “hidden driveway” sign! It was so dark we passed it twice! House is set off of street!The views can’t be beat! The porch was favorite place to congregate! It’s about a 45 minute drive to Boothbay. There is shopping in Boothbay, the botanical gardens, the prettiest village in Maine, Wiscasset!Did not eat out too much so do not have many recommendations. The lobster/seafood store down...

"We have traveled Midcoast Maine since childhood and have always admired this historic riverfront Wiscasset building. We were so happy for the opportunity to stay here! The space is thoughtfully arranged as both an homage to its history and a cozy living space with gorgeous Sheepscot views. Perfect landing spot for Wiscasset's beautiful walking tour, eateries and shops. We loved every minute. Thank you!"

"The property in Westport was wonderful. Located right on a large river connecting to the ocean. Lots to see from the wraparound deck looking out over the water. The home was spacious and well-appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed as well as high end appliances. A nice unusual feature was two vintage pinball machines in the lower level of the home. We would definitely rebook this property if we travel to the Boothbay Harbor/Wiscasset area again."
