Ideally situated on the edge of the quaint village of Goathland – famous as the location for the TV series Heartbeat – this pretty cottage is perfect for exploring the magical North York Moors. Trails lead in every direction, with several beautiful waterfalls to discover including Thomason Foss and Mallyan Spout (both within a mile). The village is on the beautiful North York Moors Railway which leads through the stunning countryside to the pretty market town of Pickering (14.5 miles) and the popular coastal town of Whitby (9.5 miles). There are also miles of bike trails, or you could discover picturesque towns and villages including Rosedale Abbey (13.5 miles), Danby (17 miles) and, on the coast, Robin Hood's Bay (12.5 miles).



This charming single-level holiday home has been tastefully decorated and retains original features including exposed beams, heavy stone sills and traditionally rendered plasterwork. The light and welcoming lounge/diner features comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner. Heading into the stylish shaker-style kitchen you will find it fully equipped with a washing machine, microwave, coffee maker, ceramic hob and oven. The well-equipped kitchen cupboards offer a selection of high-quality utensils, crockery and glassware for the cooks among you. Exploring further, there's a gorgeous bedroom with a double bed, a cast-iron roll-top bath and an en-suite shower room complete with a walk-in shower and WC.



To the front of the cottage is a large enclosed wild grass and alpine garden. To the rear of the cottage, you will find a private dining area with views across the woodland and over the wildlife pond, and you may even spot roe deer or barn owls. This area features an outdoor wood burner, a swinging bench and a BBQ. Secure storage is available for bikes, and there's ample off-road parking available. You are also welcome to explore the paths through the owner's private estate.
