Not the Best / Not the Worst
Place was fairly clean. No towels provided, no washclothes provided, no toilet paper. Luckily I brought my own items. TV remote didn't work, needs batteries changed out. Windows didnt open properly (did not stay open). It was really nice weather during my stay & wanted to let in the fresh air. Location was great for nightlife. The strip was active all weekend! I would likely not stay here again, would look for better unit within same location.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, there's so many bars and restaurants on the street! The pizza shop below is incredible. The bar across the street and next door is pretty loud on the weekends, but you really can't hear it in the bedroom. There was a bit of a problem with getting the code for check in, but the owner answered my phone call right away and helped, I appreciated the fast response.

Horrible stay
Our experience was subpar and we would not stay again. Upon arrival at 3pm check in time, the code we’d been given was not working. We called the owner and she provided a new code which worked. Once my colleague entered, she noticed the place still hasn’t been cleaned from the previous renters (bed slept in, full trash can etc). We called her and she said we could stay in one of her other properties for a night so that this place could be cleaned and then could return to it the following day. She offered to take one night off our bill. The new place for Thursday night had zero extra sheets or blankets for the pull out couch (and for our third guest). Then, around 430pm other renters knocked on the door saying they thought they were staying there, so again we had to call the owner to sort it out and the other couple went upstairs to stay the night in a different apartment. Of note, this required us to wake up earlier the next day to transfer our belongings to the original property down the street with hopes of getting to our conference on time. We were very inconvenienced and though the owner apologized, I don’t feel one night free makes up for the difference or makes me want to stay in these properties ever again.

Would definitely stay here again. Great location. Bed was comfy and we walked most places. Could have used a few more plates, glasses, etc., but overall we managed. Check in was easy and the owner was able to answer our questions quickly.

Great stay in AdMo
My 10 year old daughter and I stayed here during a quick trip to DC. The location is perfect- near bus stops, metro, walkable everywhere, yummy restaurants, convenience stores, shops, coffee, etc. Very spacious and clean. We felt safe and loved being in the heart of Adams Morgan. Would definitely stay here again!

Very Disappointed
My daughter and I rented this unit for 4 nights. After a nine hour drive, we arrived at the unit and the door code to the actual unit was incorrect. I called VRBO and spoke with a representative. After 25 minutes, the host was finally contacted and the correct code was given. To say that this started the trip off on a sour note is an understatement. When we finally got into the unit, the bathroom had 2 used rolls of toilet paper. No tissues, no hand towels, no bath mat, no face clothes. There were two bath towels for 4 nights. There was a half empty bottle of hand soap and an almost empty one with watered down soap. I went to Target to buy bath linens since barely any were provided. The first shower without a bath mat was tricky because the floor was VERY slippery as soon as it got wet. The kitchen had no cleaning products, no dish soap (another almost empty watered down bottle of hand soap), no paper towels or dish towels, and no dishwasher detergent. There was open butter in the cabinet and an open bag of flour. The couch has a stain and the “office” is a desk in a corner. The bedroom ceiling had an empty space with wires hanging out that should have housed a smoke detector. The bed pillows were paper thin. There are a lot of great restaurants and bars which provides a nice nightlife but is also very noisy. The unit has a lot of potential but is massively ill equipped and managed poorly.

Underwhelmed
This property has a lot of potential and has extremely cute aspects. If you're looking for nightlife, this is the perfect spot. I went to a great comedy club and several wonderful restaurants, all within walking distance. However, as others have said, parking was a nightmare. Then, I was unable to access the apartment due to an incorrect code and an incorrect contact number for the host. I did get in late on a Friday night so I understand a slower response time. I was on the phone with VRBO for almost 30 minutes and was in the process of finding another place to stay (VRBO's suggestion) when the host responded with the correct code. I was then extremely disappointed to rush to the bathroom only to find there was no toilet paper, no paper towels, no paper products of any kind. I had read another review with a similar issue but didn't expect zero paper products. Also mentioned in other reviews, there was a Nespresso, but then coffee pods for a Keurig. There was also half-eaten Mochi ice cream in the freezer, food stuck to the inside of the fridge, and a random sock on the floor. The next day I was met by heaps of trash inside of the stairwell. Sheets, lighters, pizza boxes and more. I assumed someone was cleaning another rental and would eventually clean it up but it remained there my entire stay. In isolation, all of these issues wouldn't have been a big deal, but together, it was honestly one of the worst rentals I've stayed in.
