Parking was great, right in front of the property. Everything was in walking distance. We walked about 10 miles total counting the museums and the mall, restaurants, etc. but it was worth it and very fun. Local food was great! Really liked the pizza and fish tacos at the Big Bear. (Their breakfast was great too.) The Red Hen was cool and very close. The host was wonderful, we met and talked with him and he made sure we had everything we needed! Absolutely would recommend and we hope to stay there again. D.C. was such a great atmosphere and the people were great.

Very clean and neat! Everything we needed plus more. Attention to detail makes this place stand out such as the high quality towels and bedding, great shower pressure, modern lighting, coffee provided, and free street parking. Plus the host greeted us and checked on us multiple times! Plan to stay here again next time we come to DC and would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our time staying in this place. It was clean, well equiped and the hosts were very nice and welcoming. The property is centrally located and is close to the areas that we wanted to view around. We will definitely stay at this place again in the future.

Greatdownstairs apartment in DC. Great hosts! My only complaint: VRBO listed the walk to the National Mall as 1 1/2 miles or so. Turned out it was 3 miles.

Lovely Home

In the city for a convention and to catch a show at Blues Alley. This beautiful basement apartment had everything we needed, including a bottle of wine! Oh, and the parking was great.

It was as advertised. Quick access to the metro, plenty of restaurants in the area. We were greeted by the host upon arrival and he recommended an excellent spot for lunch, which we went to a few times during our stay. It is just far enough from the chaos and close enough to explore. Highly recommend and will stay again the next time we visit DC.

Howard Graduation Ceremony

Property and location were perfect. Unfortunately the furniture was very uncomfortable. The couch was similar to a futon and very uncomfortable to sit on. The bed was also uncomfortable. The mattress was too soft and with you couldn’t sit up because of the headboard. Place was clean, but very hot. Had a couple of fans but with a small window in bedroom, and small window in kitchen, still difficult to get fresh air in without opening front door. Couldn’t leave open all night without locking yourself in. Front door has a steel bar outside door, then the apartment door. You can only lock this steel security door by key, making it a safety hazard if need to exit in a hurry. It was practical for our purposes.

Great location, great space, great hosts

Had a great time for our long weekend in DC. Space was very clean, nicely decorated, and a variety of amenities. Kenny was very nice and accommodating, and we would definitely stay here again should we return.

Nice spot for a short stay

Great overall accommodations. Easy Parking if driving. Space Heaters/Fans were appreciated. Nice kitchen. Decent natural light considering lower level space but I would not recommend for light sleepers or late risers as noise & footsteps from upstairs apartment can be heard as early as 7am.

We had a great stay. The apartment was clean and well stocked. We appreciated the bottle of wine!Shaw Metro was a short 10 minute walk and was easy to navigate. Two fun places in the neighborhood are Rafael Grocery and DCity Somkes Meat. Both are on Florida and less than a 5 minute walk. We used the place as a base as we toured the site, it was perfect for us. L

First time to Washington DC and the Smithsonian

We had a wonderful experience in Washington DC. Our vrbo was delightful. The space was clean and stylish. The tip sheet our host left us regarding many subjects was accurate and informative. The Metro subway was very convenient with a quick walk to the station. It made negotiating the city manageable.

Perfect DC home away from home

This wonderful property provided a perfect place to come back to and put our feet up after long days walking around the city. Great restaurants are within walking distance, the metro is a few blocks away, and we would 100% recommend this property.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful stay. Unit was full of details that make a stay comfortable. Super clean and cozy. Great instructions book, I wish all units had this. Very convenient to public metro, we didn't drive for four days.

Great Place

My friend and I had a couple days off from work so we took the train to DC to visit my son and tour the city. Our stay here was wonderful! Exceptionally clean space without clutter. Our host was super quick with responses when we reached out. Even sent a text to make sure we were comfortable. Couldn’t ask for better communication or care and concern. The bottle of sparkling water and wine were most appreciative touches. Even though it’s a lower level apartment there is plenty of lighting. And very quiet. Would love to stay here again! We enjoyed dining at Gypsy kitchen, I’d suggest you check out their website and menu for an interesting dining experience. We ordered many dishes and shared family style. Also if you like to sleuth check out the O Museum, lots of history there as you search for hidden doors. Thanks again to our gracious hosts. You provided a nice home away from home!!

Perfect in ever way
