Beware of your surroundings!

This was our first time in Washington and I would caution everyone to avoid NW if possible. Was convenient to the DC Streetcar however the unit is located almost directly over a liquor store and the walk to it was dicey. I wasn't aware but apparently pot is legal and used openly in public. Would not have brought the kids had I been warned. The unit itself was TINY. We felt pretty safe being on the 3rd floor but it was quite noisy from the traffic and late night partiers across the street. Parking was pretty scary and we had to check on our car frequently. It was also infested with ants. Clean other than that. Be sure to check on your "extra guest" charge. The ad stated it slept 6 - but there was absolutely no way. They charge an additional 50 per person for any booking over 1 person. I'm generally pretty easy going when on vacation and not to picky, but I wouldn't stay here again. Certainly not for all the extra fees.I will say, I mistakenly thought I booked the unit for an additional day and while they were impatient with us on the phone, and for requiring extra time to gather our things they were tolerant which I appreciate.

Close to popular attractions at a great price.

Overall, this flat offered all we were looking for, a great price close to all the sights we were hoping to see. I assumed because it was a 3rd floor unit that there was an elevator, I was wrong. My husband is disabled so my own fault for not asking the question prior to booking. We didn't spend much time going up and down the stairs, and grandkids came in handy to retrieve meal deliveries. The place was exceptionally clean, up-to-date amenities, which included state of the art appliances. There were 5 of us, me, my husband, daughter and two teen grandkids. We were comfortable, but I honestly don't see how this space can sleep 6, as my grandson took up all of the futon in the living room. So unless you have fewer adults and small kids, don't see it working for more than 5. A couple of things that would give this stay a 4.5, a box of tissues, a dustpan, dish towels, basic cleaning supplies (to keep bathroom clean during stay) and basic instructions for using the washer/dryer and dishwasher. Appliances were so state of the art, we couldn't figure out how to use them. Overall, it filled our need and I would definitely recommend to younger travelers.
