The place was perfectly appointed, easily understand systems and with very comfortable beds. Communication with the host is excellent. The neighborhood is loaded with restaurants. It is a short walk to the metro stop on 14th street or a matter of feet to the bus stop on 11nth.

Spacious and very nice accommodations with a thoughtful host. The kitchen and bathroom had some useful items available like coffee, coffee filters, soap and shampoo, which were pleasant to have available immediately. The host sent messages for checking in and has notes posted for tips like Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. There's a Roku unit for convenient TV use. Kitchen has large refrigerator, automatic drip coffee pot, toaster oven, microwave and conventional oven/stove - add a small washer/dryer and this place is fully livable. Short walk to grocery store, Metro train, bars, restaurants and a drop off laundry in the neighborhood. I could've stayed another week or even month or more without any concern!

Wonderful D.C. Stay

This property was a wonderful way to spend our time in DC. It was close to the metro station and had plenty of food options in the area and a grocery store that we visited several times for breakfast foods and snacks. The neighborhood is charming and we felt very safe, even walking after dark. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Soft beds and great shower pressure. We would stay here again and again! Thank you Carolton for such excellent hospitality!!

Fantastic!

My first VRBO experience! Perfect for two Gen-X women from Chicago, would be great with husband and daughter, too. Easy parking in a great neighborhood with fantastic food & drink STEPS away. Apartment was clean, quiet and comfortable; bus to Smithsonian/Mall right around the corner made getting around easy-peasy. Owner responded immediately to question about TV. Will recommend to anyone traveling to D.C. and definitely stay again if available next time we're in town.

This apartment was clean, had plenty of room, and was well equipped as far as amenities. The neighborhood is great, laid back and quiet but things are happening around there as well. We spent 4 nights and would return and stay again, no doubt! We had very good communication with the host too.A great stay.

The property was exactly what we were looking for for this vacation - a location that was close to our family, in good walking distance to points of interest, spacious and comfortable, and quiet - to relax and enjoy our time away. We were in easy communication with our host around the arrival time (delayed due to a snow storm) and what we needed during our stay. We will definitely stay at this property again for future visits.

We had a great stay. Apartment was very clean, beds comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Host was always available to answer any questions and provided us with the free parking pass for our stay. Location is close to everything.

Convention Location with Everything You Need

Good location. Convenient to bus line and subway. On street parking a plus. Convenient to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. Kitchen is well stocked. Clean and great communication. Cute apartment!

Great place to stay

This was a great place to stay for my short trip in D.C. Clean, comfortable, and close to great food options. Neighborhood was safe and easy to walk, but it was also a short Uber or metro ride to most things that would bring you to D.C. for vacation.

Great Stay in DC

My family of four visited from Iowa during spring break. We chose this location because of its price, amenities, and location to the Metro. It did not disappoint! It's a 10-minute walk to the Columbia Heights Metro (green/yellow lines). The neighborhood is vibrant and busy; there were lots of people out walking their dogs and running. There were three grocery stores nearby, and with the kitchen it was easy to make dinner. However, there were also lots of restaurants nearby if we wanted to eat out. Overall, a great experience. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!

Great location for business trip

We stayed at this Vrbo rather than paying for a pricey hotel room while in DC for a three-day conference. It’s a great central location and we were far more comfortable with so much extra space than what we would have had in a dinky hotel room!

Great stay

Had a great stay. The property was in a great location (10 minute walk to metro station) and had a lot of local restaurants a black away. We took the metro each day to the National Mall and this served as a great home away from home. Property was as described and could tell was thoroughly cleanwd before our arrival.

Awesome location, great vacation!

If I could give more stars I would - everything was exactly as advertised. Check-in was simple, access to Metro was a quick walk (we had two kids in tow ages 10 & 14), 4 stops to the archives metro stop (quick walk to the mall and all landmarks). Thank you so much! This was a great place to wrap and already recommended to friends/family we know are planning trips.

Exactly as promised: clean, fresh, thoughtfully furnished. Four blocks to Metro, 30 minute walk to the Zoo, numerous independent shops, restaurants, bars within a few blocks( and Target if you also forget your toothbrush) yet a quiet residential street. Host was graciously helpful with DC parking permit on a holiday. Would definitely book again.
