This property is beautiful! It was exactly as described per the listing. Desiree was really great at communicating with us about check-in time and entry. The property is close to many restaurants, Eastern Market Metro Plaza, and the flea market on Capitol Hill. The property was clean, comfortable, and convenient. My friends and I kept saying, "10 out of 10!!!"

Location was ideal for our family of 6 to explore DC easily. Close to the metro making getting around easy. The place was super clean and well stocked with everything you need. They even went the extra mile providing things like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I'd recommend staying here.

What a great place - a communicative host - a convenient location! Stayed here with a colleague for a business trip (every hotel in DC was sold out!). It's in the heart of Capitol Hill, and convenient to so many places to eat and drink. Safeway and a CVS within a couple blocks. The Capitol is a lovely walk down Pennsylvania Ave. If you're a runner, you can do a 5K from the house running past the Capitol, down the national mall to the Washington Monument. Iconic!The 3 br 2 ba property is well appointed. There are two comfortable queen beds in separate rooms upstairs, and another room that has bunk beds. A family, two couples (or in our case two colleagues) can share and have plenty of space. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtfulness of hosts. On my bed there were four different pillows ranging from soft to hard, so I choose what was best for my style of sleeping.Two full bathrooms, one upstairs with a claw foot tub that serves as a shower (great water pressure!) and the most gorgeous sculptural tin ceiling. One downstairs with a shower. Ample shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and fluffy, soft towels.The host thoughtfully provided some snacks to accompany the coffee and the teakettle. The kitchen would be great for fixing meals with a family - although the restaurants nearby, including the super family-friendly Roost. The host was super communicative. This may be my default home away from home in on my many trips to DC!

The property is extremely clean, beds are very comfy, kitchen is completely stocked with utensils, pans, dishes, coffee, spices, etc. It was perfect for our family of 4, as we all wanted our own rooms.

Great location

Convenient. Always felt safe. Loved being so close to the Metro, and the 10 min. walk to the amazing Le Pain community bakery/cafe was the highlight of each day! We were able to shop at Trader Joe’s and cook dinner and breakfast each day - the kitchen is well appointed.

This house is a hidden gem. The owners have done an excellent job of maintaining the history in this home while upgrading what was necessary. It is in the perfect location, central to walkable restaurants and markets and we would definitely stay here again!

Family friendly

We had a wonderful time. Lots of space for the family. Bonus was the secure off street parking! The metro stop is close along with a Safeway grocery so easy to cook meals. We also loved The Roost- a food hall with lots of options and it is right next to the metro stop.

Wonderful property and host.

Well cared for, clean property. Comfy sheets and plenty of fluffy bathroom towels.Wonderful kitchen amenities and appliances. Coffee, spices, oil, aluminum foil, baggies, snacks were provided. This was a great home for a family vacation with our 2 teenage grandsons and their parents. We saw the DC sites and also enjoyed our relaxing down time. Great location, easy walk to Metro and sites.Desiree was an excellent host and responded quickly to our messages. Thank you for helping us make memories!

If you plan to use the Metro to tour the sites this location can’t be beat. Nice grocery store and restaurants close by also. The Roost restaurant was great and Safeway grocery store. The rowhouse was very clean and well stocked. Note that the top bunk bed is only useable for a child, not a teenager or adult. The backyard isn’t as beautiful as pictured. Overall would stay again though with the excellent location, 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms.

Our family enjoyed staying in this home - SO convenient to the Metro, and even enough room for our rental car to park within the back gate (a Jeep Wagoneer!) We prepared meals for our family and walked to other dining options nearby. We will be back!
