The unit was comfortable with ample air conditioning and comfortable bed. It had a nice outdoor seating area as well. The location was excellent for walking to most of the attractions we wanted to visit. Our host, Eric, responded promptly to all of our inquiries and provided helpful info during our stay. The included parking pass was a great value, and there was ample parking around our unit. We would highly recommend this place and highly commend the host of excellent service!

The location and neighborhood of the apartment are amazing! Walking distance to anything you might want to do with some restaurants really close by. Check in was really easy. A couple of comments: We were only able to get one kitchen burner to work (slight chance that it could have been user error, but couldn’t get one to light) and the “grill” outside needed charcoal, which we would have used but weren’t willing to buy charcoal for, so keep that in mind if you want to cook. Upon arrival in the little nook next to the bed, I found a used tissue and paper clip on the floor. I understand that the area is difficult to reach but also unappealing. Other than that, our stay was great. The porch area was awesome to hang out and have dinner in the summer weather and the kitchen worked for the 3 night stay. Would recommend for a single or couple traveler who is agile.

Eric was very kind to let us check in a little early when we arrived sooner than we had expected. Was very quick to respond and had some very good information for us on things to do, etc. Location is fantastic. Super close to the metro and some good dining close by. We always felt safe, even at night. WiFi was a little spotty, made streaming a movie a little difficult with the buffering. King size bed is a plus, but the space is a little tight for it. Loved that we could do our laundry so we didn’t have so much to do returning home . Overall I would highly recommend for your stay in DC!

We enjoyed everything about our stay in this quaint and convenient home: the uniqueness of a century-old space, walking to Union Station, the supermarket, coffee shop and local pub, and definitely the kind attention of owners Eric & Jason. Even my husband slept well! We would definitely stay there again!

Close to Museums

Was within walking distance of almost everything we needed. We were here to see the museums and was only a few blocks from the National Mall which was perfect.Bike share is right there too! Everything was clean and perfect for two people.

Charming, clean and in a great neighborhood

Really enjoyed our stay here. Terrific neighborhood with Union Station and several good restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent location complemented by ample parking spaces. Sufficient space for a brief sojourn, along with numerous insightful recommendations for local dining establishments. Additionally, a charming terrace is available for enjoying a drink while observing the playful squirrels. Exceptional value. The owner is responsive, and accessing the apartment is seamless. Spring trip to DC

Historic DC row house, studio style. Just right for a couple exploring the city. Perfectly located in Capitol Hill, close to Union Station and Eastern Market metros. Great restaurants within easy walking distance. We had a great time!

Lovely, relaxing, and safe

As a solo traveller, I couldn't have felt safer. The location was close to everything I wanted to see on the Hill. It made for a relaxing few days.

Great from beginning to end

Host was a great communicator. Location was perfect for walking to attractions, beautiful neighborhood, cute space and very clean. Parking pass saved so much stress and is certainly a good reason to stay here. Will stay again for sure!

On the plus side, the owner is very responsive and the location is hard to beat. This alone makes this unit a good choic for visiting the national mall and other Washington attractions. Bathroom is in need of some updates as taking shower standing in the tub with curtains on both sides is not the most convenient experience. Likewise, the kitchen could use a better fridge as the one there right now has a single shelf only so I had stuff fall out when opening the door. And be careful with the countertop there, you'd have to bend much or squat to access it and it's recessed under the countertop so be careful not to hit your head. The bed is large, but you have to squeeze in as there is hardly any space on the sides. I was also in a bit of doubt about how well the linens and the towel in the bathroom were washed. I saw a small yellow blotch on a bathroom towel and thought it might be some permanent stain but later after some use it was no longer there which made me a bit uneasy about the cleanliness aspect. Otherwise, it was great to stay there and I enjoyed the convenience of the location.
