Excellent Property

This was the cleanest and most well stocked home I have ever rented. I appreciate how quickly and easily Peter communicated with me. We lacked nothing. The neighborhood is great, I felt very safe. I walked around the block with a two year old without hesitation. We stayed over July 4 with families from 4 different states, ages 2-72. We walked everywhere. Parking was simple with Peter’s directions. We appreciate the care he takes to keep his home clean and cared for.

We had a fantastic stay here! Our party consisted of three families of four, with children ranging from toddler to teenage. Everyone agreed that the house was incredibly charming and didn’t feel like all the other rental units you encounter nowadays. It had character! It was also well stocked - the kids especially loved the cereal dispensers. Location was great. We only went to the Mall but it was easy to walk or take the bus. Overall a great stay!

Perfect DC House for a group

This house is close to Capitol Hill. It is spacious and has five separate bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. We were in DC for our daughter’s wedding. We needed all 5 bedrooms and never felt like we were in each way. The kitchen is completely stocked with appliances and dinnerware. The dining room can hold 12. The house is very clean and the property manager answered my emails quickly and thoroughly. I would love to book this VRBO every time I visit DC.

Perfect home base to explore DC

The house was exactly as described in the listing, very big and roomy lots of space to spread out. Could not be better located to access the monuments and have a neighborhood around with nice restaurants and charm. We stayed us a family of seven. I would certainly go back.

Family weekend in DC

Daughter is doing an internship in DC. Flew down with the rest of the family to see the capitol, and do as much of the mall as we could. Capitol Hill is really centrally located in this home is right in the middle of all of it. Plenty of dining options close. So many bedrooms and all beds very comfortable. Well appointed kitchen and easy options for breakfast. Plenty of downstairs seating. We had seven people staying, and there were beds for everyone. We had a great weekend largely because the home was so comfortable and so convenient and a great base to explore the attractions of Washington.

Great Place, Great Location, Amazing Time

First off the location is top tier. Within walking distance of the capitol and National Mall and loads of things to do. Second, communication was great. Any issue was promptly resolved and even during the holidays. Third, this has been the best place I’ve stayed at so far. Across multiple countries. It was the little things that made it perfect. Overall, 5 stars all around. My family loved the stay.

Great place to stay!

Great place to stay! Peter was an exceptional host. The only drawback is if you want to have a party of any kind, this may not be for you or if you talk too loud at nights after 12…neighbor will complain

All needs met and then some

Perfect location to everything. Great restaurants, museums and all the sights you come to DC to for are within walking distance or a very short Uber ride. Peter would respond within minutes of us reaching out. Plenty of everything is stocked and ready to use; water in the fridge, coffee, cream and sugars for the Keurig. There are Nest thermostats, new washer and dryer, quiet dishwasher, blackout curtains, different levels of firmness on the beds, quiet neighborhood and multiple walkable markets within 5 minutes. Ubers were always within 5 minutes as well. Only 15 minutes to Ronald Reagan Airport as well! We can’t say enough.

There’s No Place Like Home

Staying at this property was like being at home. Safe, secure, comfortable, and roomy. It was 5 of us. We each had our own comfy bed. We had our own bathrooms (only had th share 1). We spent time eating and talking around the dinning table and the kitchen counter on comfortable seating. Very clean. Water pressure great in bathrooms. And just like home, shoes off at the door; inside slippers available. Most notable is the neighborhood. We safely walked everywhere; to the Capital, all the museums, the restaurants, the coffee shops, and the like, any time of day and the night.. Moreover, communication with the owner was prompt, concise, clear, and very nice. For sure, this property is well worth the stay and the pay.

Oasis in the Capitol

Wow! Just back for a visit to Washington D.C. This home was the perfect place to stay -- very, very clean; spacious; comfortable; well appointed; and the location was second to none. Peter is a fantastic host, with great communication that starts the moment you book. Checks in regularly to make sure your stay is perfect. Nice touch to have have water and snacks ready at arrival. We had 6 adults staying. Each had their own bed and bath. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Neighborhood is safe and quiet. Parking was easy to find. A close walk to the Capitol and museums, Metro station, and restaurants at Easton Market and Barracks Row. Would gladly stay here again. Thanks, Peter.

Family celebration

We were in town for a family celebration. Family was between the ages of 27-88. The property was in a great location to sightsee and very spacious for all 10 of us. The property owner was very responsive to our requests. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, and all the bathrooms had all the amenities needed. Everyone had a great time!!!
