A garden-level two-bedroom with its own entrance, on a residential block in Columbia Heights about eight minutes` walk from the Metro.

The apartment is fully independent of the house above: your own door, your own washer and dryer, a full kitchen, and a desk people actually work from. Two bedrooms sleep four, a queen and a full, with fresh linens and extra blankets in the closet.

Columbia Heights puts a full-size grocery, Target and the Green and Yellow lines within a ten-minute walk. U Street and the 14th Street restaurants are twenty minutes on foot, and the National Mall is one train with no changes. If you are driving, the block is permit zoned and we issue you a visitor parking permit for your stay, so you are not circling for a legal space.

Two things worth knowing. The apartment is garden level, below street grade, so it stays cool in summer but is not a bright, sun-filled space. And it is the lower floor of a multi-level rowhouse, so some sound carries from the unit above.
