"I recently stayed at Newport Harbor Island Resort and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and has a very cozy atmosphere. Most of the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. However, there was one disappointing moment during our visit. The restaurant is listed as open from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for food service, and we arrived just before 9:00 PM. We had previously been informed by another staff member that food would be served until 9:00 PM and drinks until 11:00 PM. Unfortunately, the staff member who assisted us at that time was not courteous and told us they could no longer serve us, even though it was still before the stated closing time for food. The interaction felt dismissive, especially considering we were hotel guests. Aside from this experience, everything else about the hotel was lovely. With more consistency in service, this would truly be an excellent stay."
