Excellent stay at Loon Lodge. We had a great time even though we couldn't find the fish. Loved the house. Fantastic setup and enjoyed the beach. We definitely will book again if we return to Leech Lake in the coming years.

Family winter getaway

We loved this cute home! It was clean, roomy and well stocked. The wood stove with wood provided was the best after ice fishing and skiing! Having a garage to use was also a great bonus. Thank you!

Relaxing peaceful place

Very nice place amenities were plentiful. Shoreline sandy and easy for our grandson to play in water. Firewood available to use along with a boat lift. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of room for the six of us. Will definitely come back

We love this place!

This is our second time staying at this rental and we absolutely love it! It has everything you could possibly need. The sandy beach is great for the kids and the rental provides a paddle boat and kayak...that kept the kids busy every day! Trees provide lots of shade, but there's also enough sun throughout the day. Lots of chairs by the beach and fire pit, which was also a huge hit each evening. Property provides firewood, as well! The cabin is VERY spacious and VERY clean. Proximity to Walker is convenient...we made several trips throughout the course of the week. Rick is a great host! We love this property - and you will, too!

Great summer vacation

Our family enjoyed our summer vacation at Loon Lodge Vacation home. The comfortable and nicely decorated lake house was well stocked with everything we needed for an enjoyable time. The sandy beach and swimming area was enjoyed by all and having a boat lift was very useful. We hope to come back again.

Perfect mini vacation

Everything about this cabin/house was perfect! I was told from the 17-year-old on the couch that the pullout bed is the most comfortable one he has ever slept in. I personally have never seen a rental be so well stocked with spices and oils and tinfoil not to mention toilet paper and paper towels! The hosts have thought of everything and it made for a nice stress-free weekend! Thank you!!

Loon Lodge was probably the best experience we have had with VRBO's. It was immaculatly clean with easy access to everything we needed. The view was stunning with a short easy walk to the lake.

Winter Wonderland Getaway

The location was great! Right on Leech Lake, with easy access to other lakes. The house was very welcoming with an adorable fireplace and all the supplies that we needed! The garage was very spacious as well! Can’t wait to come back next year!

DOG FRIENDLY cabin with everything you want and need -- winter stay

First -- we picked this because it was DOG FRIENDLY, which is very much appreciated. Overall, a very nice cabin, well-stocked and ready to roll. It's not brand new, but its obviously not very old and very well-maintained. We also enjoyed the wood-burning stove and supplied firewood (our dog loved it, too). It was cold outside, and plenty warm inside. A few small cons: - Musty basement... it's not that much of a problem, but when you first enter the house, there's a landing that has stairs up to the home, or down to the basement... so... you smell it as soon as you walk into the house. Sorry, it was kind of gross. - the strict 10am checkout time felt unnecessarily stressful on a quiet and frigid December morning - No recycling available, so we packed it out and took it home with us. I hope others will do that too. - watch for ice on the access road... it was my fault, but I slid off the road and into a ditch, and had to call a tow truck to drag me out at 11pm. whoops. At least it was a short walk back to the cabin to wait for them to arrive. Otherwise, a very nice cabin, and a very nice stay. I'd totally go again, any season.

Awesome getaway!

Loon Lodge was the perfect place to go to escape and relax! The house is wonderful and has everything you need, is close enough to town but also isolated enough to enjoy peace, quiet and all the beauty of northern Minnesota. We had a great stay and hope to visit again in the future!
