Very nice clean condo , beds comfortable, have everything to enjoy vacation. Few minutes from the beach and shopping, few good restaurants nearby. We didn’t go to pool, enjoyed beautiful ocean. There was towels and chairs also.

Great location and great condo

Super Clean, everything we needed was there, & beach accessories were a nice bonus, everything was as pictured/promised and better, hosts were responsive when I had questions. We would gladly stay here again.

Experience of stay

The condo was great however the cleanliness in the bathroom was not complete. There was still hair around the sink. The beds were killing our back. They need new ones. Other then that the property itself was great and beautiful grounds.

Awesome Townhouse

My family and I didn’t expect too much since it was lower priced than similar properties around the same area but got surprised at how clean and updated the kitchen and bathroom fixtures were. This property had very comfortable seating and the same with the mattresses. This place even came complete all the essentials with plenty of beach chairs, 2 beach umbrellas, bogie boards of different sizes, mats, snorkeling equipment, cooler and to top it off, a folding wide wheeled beach wagon! The property managers were awesome too as they messaged me asking if we needed any assistance with the upcoming storm nearing checkout and that they were ok to booking another night stay since it was available in case our flight got cancelled. We were able to fly out but that was very nice of management to offer.

Overall Nice Vacation Unit

Overall, the stay here was very nice. All the beach gear is in the garage. Fridge had an ice maker and water dispenser. Some seasonings and cooking oil was there. Made packing easier and the need to buy some basics not necessary. Recommend seeing what's there before stopping by Costco and Walmart for supplies. Only a couple of hiccups. The key to the exercise room and pool bathrooms was not in the unit as a prior guest accidently took it and was not replaced during our 11 day stay. The other issue was the Nest thermostat had increased the temps while sleeping which made for an uncomfortable couple of nights sleep. A call to the property manager (Daisy) resolved that but that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. Guests should be able to set the temps while occupying the unit without worrying the preset program isn't overriding our comfort. Overall though, it was a nice place and we enjoyed our stay there and would stay again as long as the thermostat stayed within our control during our stay.

Great spot for families

Lovely clean, condo that was perfect for our family vacation. Lots of room & really appreciated the well appointed kitchen, plus washer & dryer. Pool is just steps away from the condo too & patio was perfect for enjoying a morning Kona coffee.

Not your average review :)

This is a GREAT property! I'll be honest, we have been to the Big Island MANY times and stayed in the Waikoloa/Mauna Lani areas - so we know what we're doing. This trip, we were coming to meet with realtors and purchase several short term vacation rentals ourselves. We choose to this condo because we had never stayed in the Colony Villas before and wanted to check out the neighborhood. This condo is an example of doing things RIGHT! PROS: Very clean, well stocked - lots of beach equipment, towels, kitchenware, etc, and great location. We toured about 5 condos in this specific neighborhood and NONE of them were as nice as this one. They have updated the tile throughout (and it's beautiful!) and redone the bathrooms! Gorgeous job - better than any we saw! Zero complaints about the condo itself. CONS: My main con is the antiquated lock box system the condo uses. Everyone has the same code (it's laminated on their material inside!) and the box stays outside. You are supposed to keep the key in the box at all times. NO WAY! So you want me to leave a key outside that the last 100 guests, the AC guy, the house cleaners, and countless others have the code to while my 17 year old daughter sleeps in the downstairs bedroom. Not a chance!! (We brought the key inside even though we weren't supposed to). This is a huge liability for the owners/property managers and there are much more modern wireless lockbox systems available nowdays. The only other con was I had requested a late check-out (our flight was at 9:45pm) and no one ever followed up. They immediately said no but said they could evaluate closer to time and no communication ever occurred. No one checked on us (as is common in other units we've stayed at) during our stay either. OVERALL - this is a FANTASTIC condo and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! We actually learned a lot from these owners and you will be very pleased if you choose to rent from them! MAHALO!

Awesome vacation home

This was our first time at Colony Villas. Everything was as described on the site, all pictures were accurate and detailed. Checkin was easy, hassle free. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cookware. Had a little problem with the water but property management came and fixed it right away. Overall, would definitely stay here again!

Nice resort home

Nice, comfortable townhome. Kitchen had everything and more than you would need. The community pool & hot tub were wonderful! Worked well for 2 couples as we were on different levels for some privacy. Also beach equipment was available and much appreciated. Had excellent communication with property manager. Would definitely recommend
