This was a cute house. It was in a great location for our needs. There were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance as well as the beach.

The location is fantastic!

I really wanted to give this apartment a 5 start rating. The location was awesome. Close to restaurants, coffee shops, the beach, and my daughter’s home however the updating is a bit misleading. The two window units were struggling to keep the home cool and the installation of these units allowed hot air as well as rain to enter the residence. I was afraid to run the mini split because it made a terrible noise and didn’t provide any cold air. I used the stackable unit for washing and drying clothes and it worked well. It’s cute but it looks like they cut some corners when updating and providing maintenance. The shower is amazing, great water temp and pressure but the pressure in the bathroom sink is nonexistent. We had issues with the lock that was most likely user error and Tom, the maintenance person, was responsive and quick to answer. I also had several communications with the property management and it was timely and considerate. My only feedback is that it looks dated, a bit shabby, could use some filing of holes in the walls and ceiling and a good coat of paint. I would also update the A/C situation as I’m sure they are losing money in energy costs. Otherwise, I would come back and stay again.

Im sure that the listing showed a ramp going to upper level but there were 2 sets of stairs. Some things needed: directions for the 2 TV REMOTES

great stay

I used to live in VB and still come back for business often. This was a great stay, close to work, family, and fun. Easy check in. The unit was accurate to the pictures listed. It was nice to enjoy our free time in walking distance to everything fun. Perfect place to stay to visit the beach with a dog. We hope to stay again!

Hidden Gem in the heart of the ViBe

Vacation looked a bit different this year as it was the first time we didn't stay up on Atlantic (oceanfront block) and it was also the first time we traveled to the shore with our dogs. This place was perfect. A bit more spacious than it appeared in the listing - and also updated vs. the photos that accompany this listing currently (laminate floors, wooden beams painted). We found check in easy, and it was clean. There was quick access to everything (both north end (where we would take the dogs to walk on the beach) and south end (parks, aquarium etc), not to mention it was so much fun staying and walking around the Vibe district with its numerable shops, restaurants and artwork. Our only suggestions were to perhaps provide an area to clean feet and paws when coming in from the beach/sand/street. The outdoor faucet in the downstairs was broken and the one off the second floor saw water seep through the deck onto the downstairs outdoor furniture. I only make this suggestion as the area of beach where dogs are allowed to frolic (above 42nd) does not have any way to rinse feet/paws and we wanted to be respectful guests to the renters downstairs (and also not track in sand into our rental). Again, could not have asked for a better rental in a better area to meet our needs this vacation!

Great Fireworks View!

Roomy, well-equipped upstairs unit ideal for individual or a couple. Couple of minor issues--pull on the door handle to get the lock to open or close--that didn't detract from the property. View of the beachfront fireworks from the big deck.

508B bungalow

We struggled numerous times with the key lock on the door. It’s a nice place to stay, but they need to cater to people that travel. Could have some beach towels. Needs more kitchen, utensils, and pots and pans for people that cook. Just thought I would share that information instead of complaining. We Overall, had a great time in Virginia Beach.

Perfect location with some disturbing cleanliness issues

The location and neighborhood for this location were perfect for our stay and we loved the convenience. However, we found dark mold in the air conditioning units upon arrival. We contacted the managers and they said they’d send someone to clean it, but they never did. We also found numerous cockroach-like insects through the property indoors. Great for location, not so great for cleanliness.

We enjoyed staying at this property very much. We were there mostly for work as we had a food show at the convention center but did get to enjoy the beach and the great restaurants nearby. Had one issue with the electric as I blew a fuse in the bathroom that the maintenance person, I believe name was Pat, was very helpful to help us get the breaker reset. So with that said there was some electrical issues that might need addressed and there were quite a few of the outlets that did not work. And the only other thing that we recommend to might udgrade is the couch. It was not very comfortable..LOL. But overall the house was rented at a great price and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.

Checked Out Early

While the location is very walkable and desirable, the home was not comfortable. The bed and couch were very hard, and made it difficult to relax. The kitchen and bathroom showed a lot of wear. The walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling, so anything happening in the bedroom can be heard in the bathroom, and vice versa. What ultimately made us leave on Wednesday, and check into a hotel (incurring an expense we were not expecting) was the crime in the area. Sunday into Monday there was a robbery on a street 2 streets over. Monday into Tuesday there was a wanted individual barricaded in the apartments right across the road. I walked the dog outside into an active police situation with no warning. Why were we not contacted by the property owner regarding this situation?? We were very disappointed, as the Vibe District was where we wanted to stay, and was fantastic.

Adorable comfortable home

This property met our every need. We were totally comfortable within a few hours of arriving. Two minor problems were immediately fixed by the property managers within a short time of us notifying them. We used the house as a home base and day tripped all over the Virginia coast. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and grocery stores within 5 minutes driving. Despite being near the boardwalk with a brewery across the street, the home was quiet and peaceful. Thanks to the owners for sharing!

Family getaway

Was a great little place for my daughter and I to get away and enjoy the beach. The vibe area is great. Very safe! Short walk to the beach and shops are all around you. Alot of local businesses. The place was nicer than the pictures and everything we needed was there. I will stay again!
