Nice but Needs Attention

Our group stayed at the property while attending a local wedding. Overall the home provided what was needed and the owners communicated well. However there were some concerns which we discussed with the owners Please confirm with owners that repairas were done to dock and deck before renting.

Perfect house for our family!

My family really loved the house and the beautiful yard! Location was very nice. The owners went above and beyond making sure the house was stocked with everything we could need. We all enjoyed the kayaks and bikes and loved the view from the back deck!

NYE stay

We rented a gold cart from sandbridge rentals so that we could get to the ocean safely and quickly but the bay was very pretty, quiet and offered a fishing dock the kids loved.Thank you, it was a great family get away

We had a good time with our adult children and their families. Nice home, fully stocked, in a great location. It could use some up-dates. Unfortunately weather was cold and downstairs space was definitely cold (we were advised in advance).

We evacuated from FL before Hurricane Milton Landfall and decided to turn an unexpected trip back “home” into a mini vacation! This is the most accommodating and family friendly Host that we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare/serve meals for a large family. With all of the sleeping accommodations, there was no shortage of options for our family. We spent the majority of our trip at the home as the host provides an inclusive environment with many amenities at no additional cost! We rode bikes to the beach, lounged on the patio, enjoyed many meals, played board games, Fished off the dock at the property, and created lots of laughs and memories. One detail about the property that I would note is that the Kitchen, and Living area are on the second level of the property, which could be difficult for people with physical disabilities. But, it was great for our needs!

We had a wonderful time at He Crab She Crab. Check in was easy. All the information shared by the owners regarding the area, places to visit, restaurants, grocery stores,etc was very helpful. We enjoyed grilling out and found the kitchen to be stocked with anything we could possibly need. We had a lot of fun with games we found in the sunroom and enjoyed the bikes immensely. The beach was easy to get to and we went down for sunrises and to see the crabs on the beach at night. It is a beautiful home and very comfortable. We had a lot of laughs and made a lot of family memories. We all agreed that we need to return to He Crab She Crab.

Great Stay! Highly recommend!

HeCrabSheCrab was the perfect destination for our family of 6 adults. Despite the rain we had a wonderful time. The house fit our needs perfectly. We have never stayed anywhere with such a fully stocked kitchen!! The bikes were a huge bonus. Sadly the rain kept us from trying the kayaks. The owner was very communicative and provided great info on things to do. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

Great for a relaxing getaway

The house was amazing, has a lot of rooms for everyone to spread out of alone time is needed, as well as large areas to come together and have a meal. Elaine was quick to respond through text message and offered many suggestions of local restaurants and places to go. We were able to use the kayaks and paddle along the inlet which beats any rental place! We enjoyed staying here and would absolutely consider again, thank you!

A wonderful family getaway

This place is so great for families! There are toys, kids bikes, games, a crib, a high chair, stroller, wagon, and a full play set in the backyard! My family and I enjoyed our stay so much that we already started planning another trip next year.

Great Family Vacation

He Crab She Crab is a fantastic property with lots to offer and only a couple minutes to the beach. We enjoyed staying at this property. It had everything we needed to enjoy a great family vacation. Communication was great from the owners. Thanks for helping make memories that will last a lifetime.

Perfect Location

Sandbridge is a delightful, quiet beach community. The proximity to the beach took all the stress out of mobilizing my and my brother's family out for a day in the surf. Even better, when we returned home after a long day there was plenty of fun to be had back at the house - playing in the back yard, enjoying the canal, or taking bikes for a spin around the neighborhood.

Comfortable Stay

We had a great stay, the house was spacious and fit our family nicely. We had a 2 year old and 7 month old with us, so all of the baby amenities were very helpful! The owners made sure everything we needed for the babies would be ready for us! There are a ton of outlets, which is great, but a little nerve racking since they don’t have covers. The house was well stocked with most things we would need. Cooking in the kitchen was a breeze, as it has tons of cookware and utensils! We did run into some ants in the kitchen, but kept all of our stuff put away to try and avoid any problems. We all enjoyed the bikes provided, as well as the beach chairs. Outdoor shower was great to rinse off! Beautiful water view, that we enjoyed many times off of the deck. The owners were wonderful to work with, and made us feel comfortable!

Wonderful

We spent the long New Year’s weekend. The house was spotless. The kitchen was the most well-equipped we have experienced and all the extra equipment for the littles was also so helpful. We had plenty of space to spread out, which we needed with three kids under 5. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again!

Great family vacation stay

This was a great place to stay off the beaten path for some quiet time away from the hub bub and just a short walk or bike ride to the beach. It was definitely nice to be able to use the on site kayaks and amenities available. Everything was there as stated by the owner and the building g deck was definitely helpful is providing entertainment for our baby and pet. The communication with the owners was great and they were very helpful in addressing any questions and needs! Definitely a great quiet vacation spot for the family with great neighbors all around! Thank you for the wonderful place to stay!

Great stay and location!!

This was our family's first time to Virginia Beach and to the East Coast for that matter and He Crab She Crab was a great place for us. Having the option to kayak on calm waters and also having quick access to a nice and clean public beach at the oceanfront exceeded our expectations! The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. Would definitely rent from Mark and Elaine again. 😁

Wonderful home

This was the first time that we stayed in this home. There were 5 adult women. The accommodations were very very clean. We appreciated having the bikes which made trips back and forth to the beach easier than walking. The beach in that area does not have parking so we needed to drop off stuff with one car and the rest of us bike down. The kitchen is very well appointed. Also the owners are very responsive to questions or problems.

Our Family Vacation

Overall, we all had a great visit. There were some concerns regarding the distance from the beach, but we used a van to bridge the gap. The canal behind the property was a big plus with fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding.The only serious negative was that there are exposed carpet tacks or nails at the threshold between the living and dining rooms..My grand daughter injured her foot and lost a half day (with her mother) recovering. The HVAC is annoying loud for sleeping on the lower level and the master bathroom sink drains quite slowly.

Family beach trip

The home was exactly as stated! Best house we could have found to accommodate 4 children and 4 families. Beach was great! Sand was so soft. Not overcrowded and 4 rows deep of people. Weather was excellent until rain all day on our very last day. Better than all week of rain! Owners were awesome and checked with us as to anything we needed. PERFECT!!!!

Amazing Week at the Beach

Our family had a wonderful stay. The house suited us perfectly. We used the bikes to ride to the beach along with the beach chairs and sun umbrella. We loved being right on the canal almost more than going to the beach. Fished everyday, our kids enjoyed cooling off/swimming, and my dad even took his first kayak trip. A warning however, those mosquitoes will eat you alive! Thanks Mark and Elaine for a wonderful house on our first trip to Sandbridge.
