Ample space and a good layout for the adults to stay on the second floor and kiddos on the third floor. Location, location, location, oh and there's clean, safe space in close proximity to the beach, restaurants, grocery (Harris Teeter). This is the short term rental for YOU!!!

Family Vacation Aug 3-6 2025

2nd time staying at this property. Everything was wonderful, plenty of room for all. Owner has added to kitchen supplies (pots, pans and utensils) since last year, nice.Parking passes for 25th Street garage (7 minute walk) were greatly appreciated.Minor maintenance request (burned out light in fridge and oven, squeaky bedroom door) were handled quickly by Tom, he's a great guy. Will stay again! Thanks.

The great little getaway

The townhouse was great as far as size and hosting our family for three nights.The 1/2 street where you park is tight if full so you can’t just pull in or back in. Literally, there were times it took forever inching up and back just to back into the spot without hitting their barricades. It’s doable, just time consuming.The house is really stocked so you don’t need anything except for your own shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. I know it said it was there but it was not. There was plenty of kitchen soap, toilet paper, hand soap and laundry soap. While giving our 23 month old twins a shower in the master bathroom the shower stall bottom began peeling huge chunks! Apparently, we paid thousands of dollars for three nights to stay in this fancy townhouse where someone had literally painted the fiberglass shower. I have no idea what they were trying to cover up but at least they could’ve let it dry before renting it to us. TBH, I’ve never seen a shower peel before so it still upsets me that my babies were in it!The games upstairs are great! The room with the bunks is up there as well. The only drawback is the master bedroom is right below the room with the 2 set of bunk beds and game room so if you have teens like we did and you go to sleep early, be prepared to bring a fan or sound machine to drown out all the kid noise from upstairs. Again, it’s a beautiful place however, the paint coming off the shower in chunks ruined it for us.

Amazing Stay

We stayed at the Cape Henry House for a birthday celebration weekend with friends. The property was clean and very comfortable fit all 11 of us. We loved the large living room and the kitchen was perfect for baking French toast in the morning. Fantastic location as well! It was a short walk to the beach but still inland enough to be out of the hotel busy-ness. Would definitely stay again! Our only advice to new guests would be to bring extra pillows as the pillows in the twin bunk rooms are a bit thin. Everything else was great!

Excellent house at Virginia Beach!

This house was lovely, and more spacious than the pictures would suggest. The kids enjoyed having the whole top floor with the bunks and the twins, and the arcade room. The back outdoor space was lovely. The owners worked with us on a late checkout for a reasonable fee, which was very helpful for our trip logistics. Would definitely stay here again!

Family Beach Vacation

The house was very nice and in a great location to the beach. There was plenty of rooms and beds so the whole family could stay together. The property managers were very responsive and helped us very quickly when we needed it. Overall it was a great vacation.

House Review

First of all, Sheppard is absolutely wonderful. She was very responsive to our questions, and is just a lovely person. The house is just as described in the listing. It is a newer house, and very well kept and well equipped. The things I'm complaining about were clearly stated. Having only 2 parking spaces for a 5 bedroom house was very difficult. The paid parking lot recommended cost $120 a week, and is quite a distance from the house. 5 blocks to the beach is a long walk when you have a lot of stuff. There are a LOT of steep steps in the house. But, that was all disclosed in the listing. I'm sure those issues were factored into the price. You get what you pay for.

Great location and beautiful property.

Overall, we were very impressed with the property. We held my bachelorette weekend and everything was great! Great kitchen space, rooms, living spaces were awesome. My only comment is the floors were very dusty and dirty and the TV was hard to connect.

Excellent house

The check in process was a little tricky because they didn't send the stuff through vrbo like other places do. I had to go through emails in my spam to find the code for the house. I panicked as a mom with kids that needed to use the bathroom and had a long day. They got back to me after many phone calls because it was after hours I guess. They apologized and all was well once we got into the house. The house is really nice and clean. The kids loved the arcade games and the bunk beds. Overall, I would stay again.

Wonderful space for a large group

We had 12 ladies in this home for a weekend conference. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed, except probably could have used a few more coffee mugs :-). I had a few questions prior to our arrival and the host was prompt in answering every question. Probably only complaint is there are only two parking spots for such a large home, but when you view the location it makes sense because there is no extra space with how everything is situated.
