Fun Beach House

The house was clean and worked well for us. One block from the beach was nice too. My only issue/suggestion would be to provide more/larger supplies....there was no dishwashing soap for cleaning pots and pans. The bathroom soap are tiny and we only had two trash bags. I definitely recommend this property, but guests should be prepared to bring extra and your own supplies

Really only Four Bedrooms- not five

A simple note telling us where the key to the downstairs bedroom would have been appreciated, along with a note stating the house number is the code to get in the laundry room. We were horrified by the smell/dampness and bugs squashed all over the walls in the downstairs bedroom and bathroom unit when we finally were able to get in. We lost hours of our first full day dealing with this bedroom. Someone came with a dehumidifier the next morning, which inconveniently needed emptying every 3 hours, and then a cleaner came about lunch time, who was wonderful and recommended some places to eat. I have two daughters with asthma and allergies, and no one wanted to sleep down there in that moldy smell, including me, so without the 5th bedroom, one daughter slept on the couch upstairs. We had requested a HEPA filter, but I received an email that the owner would not provide us one. The upstairs property was as pictured, with a few furniture stains and writing from probably a child. The internet worked fine, there were some welcome laundry packets, dishwasher packets, and sponge, but no dish washing soap, only bar soap, and bring toilet paper and garbage bags. We didn't use the downstairs grill area, so I can't speak for that. We would have loved some beach chairs and umbrellas. and had to purchase some that we took home with us.

Could Use Some Help with Cleanliness

The kitchen was not adequately equipped with utensils, glasses, or serving dishes. The pots and pans were beaten and used and need to be replaced. From the moment we showed up, there was a problem with both ice makers. After many service people showed up to look at them, it was never fixed. The downstairs living space was not clean - floors were dirty and there were spider webs everywhere. The outside grill had no propane and the area was disgusting. The overall house accommodated my family, and the beach was in walking distance.

Rainy week

Overall we were very pleased. The set up of the house was great for our family. The outdoor grill and patio were awesome. The wi fi didn’t work well in the lower level, which would not have mattered, except it rained most of the week. It was a nice place. Would stay there again

Xmas beach house

A nice winter getaway. Spacious entertaining space outside and in. Appliances were old and beds were not that comfortable. Bake part of oven didn’t work. Heat for the efficiency suite downstairs didn’t work. Outside fridge had to be fixed. Noticed outside fridge door wiring started to smoke. Yard needed to be mowed. We still enjoyed the stay but it could have been better

Good location dated property

The location was nice, quiet neighborhood. Overall the property was nice for a large group. The beds are not very comfortable. Mold in the shower, asked manager to address, they addressed the wrong bathroom. Ants took over one day we called, they said they addressed, but i had to call and they finally took care of them. The bottom room was not habitable, vwry strong musty smell, the cleaning team did come back after i called 2 times, it smelled clean but the cheap glade plugin just covered up the smell and made for a minor headache. It wasn't worth dealing with so i just slept on the kid beds. Overall you get what you pay for, A dated house that would be a gem if they updated the beds, cleaned more thoroughly, and solved the musty smell down low in the master bedroom. Don't be cheap, the competition is fierce in sand bridge. I deffinatly will be booking another place next year.

Too bad

The main house layout was great for our needs. However, every other area were totally unacceptable. The downstairs rooms are totally unusable not only are they totally isolated from the main house, there is no access without going outside but it is damp, musty, dark & FILTHY. Also the sound of the water running through the exposed pipes is a treat. The outside kitchen & property are totally not maintained. The kitchen area is disgusting the grounds are a mess the outdoor shower should be condemned there are bugs inside & out. I texted & sent pictures Immediately Sunday morning taking time from our family vacation to meet people because we had our dog & the people sent were equally disgusted & not prepared to do anything useful, people showed up at least 4 times & did minimal & when I asked them to do the other things they said they weren’t on the work order & they would have to come back. Finally I said forget it, I’m not taking any more of my time. We tried to eat outside one evening which is usually a nightly activity for us but the bugs & webs under the deck were sickening. On Wednesday we had no propane, apparently there’s no one to help on Wednesday’s. On Friday a gentleman showed up, also disgusted by the property and said several times all the outdoor kitchens have to meet a certain standard - this one does not & he asked do we want a new grill? We were leaving the next morning! He also put bug traps all around the house great maybe for the next guests. There was a heavy rain storm & all the down spouts were directed toward the house so there were inches of water like a moat, my husband cleared the drains himself & it drained down no one has been clearing them & many of our belongings got soaked. 4 households are afraid to bring anything we brought with us into our homes for fear of bringing bugs in. The location & neighborhood are great but this house needs a lot of attention. The photos online are very deceiving.. I could go on but think you get the idea.

Family Summer Vacation

Plenty of room for 10 of us. Liked the floor plan with common area in the center. Lots of places to sit/lounge. Also enjoyed the outdoor shower/fridge.

Family Vacation at Sandbridge Beach

We enjoyed our family vacation in this property. The 5 bedrooms worked well for 7 adults and 3 kids. This house has a great location. It's a quiet neighborhood and only a five minute walk to the beach. The Sandbridge Beach is a much quieter, family friendly beach than Virginia Beach. Very enjoyable. The house was a good size for the 10 of us. We did have an issue with the A/C on the bottom floor bedroom, but their technicans arrived shortly after we called them and replaced it. The rooms are comfortable and of good size. There were a few cleaning issues when we arrived. Coffee grounds were still in the maker and coffee in the pot. There was some trash items under the bed. The appliances should really be updated. Such a nice place and the dish washer was louder then the jets from the naval air station. It would be nice if the owners would leave more information about the area and more information about how to operate TVs, etc. The location made this a great time. Great farmer markets and local restaurants within 15 minute drives. 20 minutes to the Board walk. 15 minutes to the viewing are for the naval air station or Aquarium. We had a very nice time. Would recommend it highly.

Best beach vacation ever.

We had a great time at this property. The location was peaceful and very close to the beach. The house was spacious. The beach itself was amazing. The house was mostly as described had great wifi service. The downstairs unit is really not useable as it is musty and air conditioner is too loud to sleep and kitchen is not well equipped. When we checked in the bathrooms were not cleaned. However, owners were very responsive and sent people over again to clean the bathrooms. Overall a fun vacation
