Cobro incorrecto

La casa está bien, la zona bien, aunque un poco complicado encontrarla. El alquiler está ofertado como 807 euros 4 noches y me han cobrado 849 euros. Lo reclamamos a la persona encargada y no ha contestado nada. Es ilegal hacer eso.

It was a very enjoyable stay with family & friends. There was a musty/moldy smell in two of the bathrooms, and we did have an issue with the heated pool on our first day. We actually contacted Vrbo support and a pool guy came out very early a day or two later and checked it for us. We very much enjoyed the area, very close to the beach, two small groceries stores and bars are all within walking distance.

We had a lovely week at this large villa. There was plenty of room for our group of 12 (3 families of 4). The air con and pool kept us cool in the heat and we loved the outdoor kitchen/eating area and the garden is very private and not overlooked. The property owners/management were responsive when we had any queries - the only issues we had were a power outage (which we understand also affected other properties in the local area) and getting to grips with the alarm system (user error!). It’s well situated - a short walk to the beach, bars, restaurants & shops. Would definitely recommend!

Good location property needs updating

The property is in a nice area close to shops bars and restaurants and the beach.The house was large enough for our party of 13, however it was not particularly clean on arrival and was in need of maintenance in several areas, broken gate outside, broken trim in the upstairs ensuite, missing tiles in the pool shower and pool itself, mould around the bathroom showers. Considering how much we paid to rent this property for a week I was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness and maintenance.

Amazing stay well equipped villa amazing heated pool, multi generational holiday and absolutely perfect for this. Clean well located lovely beach with some lovely little local restaurants and shops we don’t hire a car easy to get an uber if you would like to explore further. Excellent host very accomadating

Wonderful villa stay

Accommodation was perfect for our needs. It was comfortable for sitting, dining, sleeping and relaxing by the pool. It was extremely well resourced. The pool was perfect for adults and children who spent a lot of time in it! The aircon in the rooms was efficient and welcome. It was delightful to eat all our meals outside baring in mind we had messy children! The barbq was great also. The closeness (walking distance) to the lovely beach, cafe/bar and supermarket was a bonus. In fact the children loved the beach so much, we felt we didn’t need to explore any other beach. Trips out included a wonderful boat trip exploring the caves and a Slide and Splash water park. Communication with Andrew before and during our stay was excellent. With six children under 12, the youngest of whom was 16 months, we appreciated the “homeliness” of the villa and felt entirely relaxed. The authenticity and features of the villa together with the outside areas were much appreciated by us all.

Wonderful, quiet location that is very close to a fabulous beach. We were a family group of 9 women and the number of bedrooms/bathrooms was great. We enjoyed the pool and sunshine and then a shady front location with pool table and ping pong table. Cafes and shopping close by.

Property was ok. Needs some work.Location is ok. Quiet but not alot to do. Traveling to other towns for day trips is easy enough.Beach is lovely. Has a small park which worked perfect on our walks out.Overall a good choice.

A great place for a large family or group

Loved the villa, the courtyard, the pool and the general layout of the place. Andrew and Else were great hosts. We went in late April so the evenings were cool and it was quite windy, but got plenty of sunshine during our five days in Manta Rota (one of them during the Portugal blackout, which was certainly memorable!).Manta Rota is a small sleepy village, though. Not much happening at this time of the year. But it’s a great place to base yourself if you plan to rent a car and have road trips planned. We enjoyed crossing the border into Spain to visit Ayamonte (20 min drive), and driving into Albufeira and surrounding villages to visit the coastline caves and hanging valleys (45 min). The 30 min drive to Tavira was also a highlight. So beautiful. We recommend the 7 Hanging Valleys Hiking Tour, which took 4 hours but was a highlight and a better option than taking a boat tour and risking sea sickness, as the waves were big and it was very windy.One point I would make about the villa is that the main level bedrooms get humid and damp and after a few days the bedding becomes a bit musty and uncomfortably damp. Using the in-room air conditioning more would probably have helped. The rooms, as a result, also start to smell musty and the towels never fully dry. Also, the mattress cover in the bedroom closest to the kitchen was just a sheet and it was too small for the bed, so was always getting bunched up and leaving the (dirty) mattress exposed. An easy fix, so just an FYI.

Beautiful Villa

Our family of 10 stayed for a week aged10 to 73. We had a fabulous time and the pool was a huge winner for us all . The place is lovely and within walking distance to the beach,shops and restaurants . Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend

Great location for family holiday

An enjoyable stay at this lovely villa. Heated pool was a highlight. The place is well equipped and in a great location for the beach and supermarket. Some basic provisions (bread/milk/water) might have been nice on arrival as we arrived late in the evening, but overall this villa was a great location for a multi-generational family holiday.

There are wild cats and dogs barking for the first two nights of our eight nights stay. We contacted the owners after day two thinking day one was just an anomaly and they advise that they have never heard of that in 18 years. The pool maintenance person said that there were cats all around the area and the Workers a couple houses down sad cats are wild. Looking from the top balcony, you could see shanty town of animals was really unattractive, and there were groups of cats that I thought during the day.

A lovely family holiday!

We have just arrived home from a wonderful week at Casa Betel villa! A family of 11, between the ages of 3 and 62, the accommodation suited all of our needs perfectly. The pool was perfect for the children to enjoy safely and the pool heating was such a huge bonus! The location is great, walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beautiful local beach. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay here!
