We loved everything at the Hidden Pond! Perfect for our family of 4 with our pups! So dog friendly, we loved hiking through the 10 acres! Can’t wait to come back this summer to swim in the pond. Host was extremely responsive and what a wonderful clean beautiful spot both inside and out.

What a magical experience we had!! The property is stunning with so many beautiful and thoughtful touches throughout. We only wished we had been able to stay longer!! Highly recommend!!!!

Absolutely magical property - I would give it more than 5* if I could for the environment! The hidden pond really is beautiful and our golden retriever loved to swim in it. If we had been there for rest and relaxation, I would have enjoyed just sitting by the pond with a book. The Gong Suite was just fine - comfortable bed and couches. Jo-Ann was a great host and she left delicious muffins, cookies in the kitchen, and soda in the fridge. But - I had to mark it down a star for the kitchen amenities. It would be just fine if you expect to eat out (or bring in take out) each night but even though the promotion says "basic kitchen" I had expected that there would be room for food preparation and sufficient dishes (a pot, large bowl, etc) to use the BBQ side-burner, breakfast grill or even the toaster oven). BUT - for those who don't need/want to cook much - it really is a magnificent location and very comfortable.

Amazing and restful stay

Suite was even better than described. The grounds were so beautiful - lots of space to spread out and congregate outdoors. There is another suite onsite in addition to the owners’ house but you can be in separate areas if you want privacy. The flowers were beautiful down by the pond and we saw lots of wildlife. The pond and grounds were so relaxing, I wish we could have stayed longer. We would absolutely love to come back and stay longer next time.

Own private beach and swimming area

It was a wonderful place to be. It was quiet and peaceful.we made use of everything we could while we were there. Fires, hot tub and the pond were all out favourite.the host is very friendly and rob will not hesitate to help you find some things to do while you are there! We had numerous great recommendations that ended up replacing our original plans and we did not end up disappointed!

What else to say that other reviews haven’t already. The location is fantastic and serene. We stayed in the gong suite and the decor is just perfect. The hot tub and pool are so welcoming and as is Jo-Ann! We will certainly come back!

Loved the pond!

The highlight of this property is for sure the pond. I booked in a rush and didn't realize what we had access to. Our kids (ages 8 and 10) spent over 5 hours playing at the pond that day. There are so many different water vessels and the pond is small enough that I was confident I could "rescue" them if necessary. For the adults, it was lovely to sit in the sun and just enjoy the lush surroundings. The long strip of sandy beach is a nice touch. It was a great place to unwind, so we spent a lot less time sightseeing and more time just relaxing in the woods here. We will be back!

best home from home in the most beautiful nature

The place of Jo-Ann & Rob is truly a home from home! The property is nice and spacious, in the pure nature & We loved staying here with our two kids (9y and 7y). The entire place is full of charme, piece & easiness in a peaceful area of Metchosin (but also very, very close to all needed shops!). The outland has beautiful garden areas with lovely seating accomodations, bbq, fire pit, swimming pond! We loved your 3 very cute dogs Sasha, Mick & Leo! Overall we loved the familiar atmosphere! The apartment itself is very spacious & clean! We loved everything from equipment to furniture and decorations! Everyone was made with heart & soul! Jo-Ann & Rob are really interested that you feel comfortable and happy and they are always around if you have questions!In the end we can say that we couldn't think of any better place to stay! We will defo come back!! Lotti & Milo were desperated to leave this lovely place on earth! :) Thanks for everything! Bianca & Tim with Lotti & Milo

Hidden Pond is a Hidden Gem. Warm, welcoming and helpful hosts. Exquisite, well maintained ,beautiful property. Ferns, flowers and lily pads adorn the private pond. We spent many days enjoying the private grounds. A little piece of tranquil paradise, just 10 minutes from anything you may need. White glove clean suite has a lovely eclectic feel, right down to the "gong". We are planning our next stay already.. Thanks JoAnn and Rob for a fabulous holiday.

The Perfect Getaway

My young family and I enjoyed the perfect getaway at Hidden Pond. Only a 30-minute drive from Victoria and we arrived at the beautiful rural property. The Gong Suite was very spacious and had the most charming touches, such as whimsical art, luxurious linens, classic board games, and a coffee bar stocked with fresh fruit, muffins and cookies. During the day we enjoyed exploring the forested trails and trying out the row boats. The pond has an absolutely idyllic storybook atmosphere. In the evening we roasted wieners and marshmallows over the fire then snuggled in the king size bed for a family movie night. We wouldn’t even have known there were guests staying next door had we not been informed upon arrival. I would 100% recommend Hidden Pond!

Wonderful stay with amazing hosts

Located in a very quiet and peaceful part of Metchosin. Close to beaches and shopping. Place was well equipped with extra treats to enjoy. Bed comfortable. Hosts extremely helpful. Hot tub was a nice treat. Highly recommend.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay

Our suite was very large, with all the amenities we could need. There were nice little touches such as cookies and muffins left for us. The location was great for what we were looking for- lots of trails and beaches. We would definitely stay here again.
