Good location but not clean and a few shortcomings

Great location, nice house for large group. Unfortunately, cleanliness was not up to standard. When reported to the owner, with pictures, they said that some of the cleaning was the responsibility of the previous renters (really??} and there was simply not enough time for the cleaners to clean the property properly. Neither of these reasons was good enough - some of the areas such as the tracks on the sliding doors, the extract fans, the dirty windows, inside drawers and cupboards, and the general cleanliness of both upstairs and downstairs outside areas was unacceptable. Broken and missing shelves in the kitchen fridge door made it difficult to store everyday food items. Main bedroom had no hanging space for clothes. Only 1 hairdryer for 3 bathrooms. Insufficient reading lights. Long list of do's and don'ts that they fail to live up to themselves. The owners stated that this was not a business arrangement and implied that we were sharing the property rather than renting it. Certainly, was a business arrangement for us considering the considerable rental charged.

Family birthday celebration

the house was exactly as described. It catered for everyone with a games room, water activities and peaceful surroundings. The access to the water for fishing was a hit with kids and adults. We will definitely book again.

Bringing families together

We really enjoyed our stay - 6 adults and teenagers 14-19. They loved the canoes and SUP boards! We all relaxed in the comfort of the Large lounge, kitchen and outdoor space. There was a hiccup with previous tenants not emptying food from the freezer and fridge, but Mel helped us sort that out quickly. The location allowed for short drives to the Murray mouth and the south coast for those who were keen. The third Queen bedroom downstairs gets too much kitchen noise - better to avoid using if possible and bunk bed frames are a bit small for tall people! Some of our kids put mattresses on the floor so as to fit more comfortably. Overall, a lovely home for our relaxing and fun long weekend stay - thanks Melissa & Ged !

Perfect for large groups!

This house accommodates well for large groups both indoors & out! Lots to do with a games room, kyaking, paddle boarding and more! We all had a great time!

The location and amenity of the property was perfect for a holiday of interstate family members.

The property location, appointment and amenity was perfect for us. The ability to have a family gathering of 4 generations and keep the kids entertained on the water whilst keeping the older members involved but not under pressure was priceless. The property was well appointed and well configured for an extended family get together. We didn’t want for anything. The games room was awesome and a real treat. The kitchen had every utensil and pots and pan we could have hoped for. I highly recommend this property for an multi generational family holiday. My only criticism was the cleanliness of the house on arrival. However I accept it is a busy time of year and may have been a challenge to have the property properly prepared for new guests.

Great location and use of all activities including water sports. House was a very good size. Little bit disappointed with cleanliness as outdoor fridge had heaps of mould in it so was unusable. Needs a deeper clean and dishes needs to be aired as had a bad smell due to being locked up. Overall a good stay and would return.

Fantastic house with everything you need!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the property. The house was well appointed and the host was excellent at communicating if we had any questions/concerns. The kids had a ball playing on the water using all the equipment provided for water sports as well as the pool and ping pong tables - hours of fun! The view from the house was also gorgeous and made for wonderful outside meals. Our family would love to return to this property. 10/10
