We had a great time! Perfect location - beach, food and drinks are steps away and the setup at the cottage is great. Very convenient that we had our own parking spot and there is a grocery store right around the corner.

Great location! This home is perfectlyLocated for our families activities. Walk to the beach, nearby park, restaurants and even the boardwalk. Home has many great local touches from coffee mugs to pictures that make it feel much more like a home instead of the typical vrbo rental. Host is great to communicate with and checked in on us several times to make sure our needs were met. Will definitely try to stay here again next time we are in the area.

This is a beautiful cottage just a block or so from the beach. It can accommodate 2-4 persons easily and has a futon for an extra bed. Everything in this house was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The kitchen served us well with many amenities. It was a delight to stay here...... I highly recommend this property.

Very cute, well appointed beach cottage! Quick walk to the beach, shops and restaurants and convenient to downtown Ventura too.

Charming place close to the beach. Our family flew into CA and appreciated all of thoughtfulness of the hosts. Thanks for making us feel so comfortable- we loved it!

We loved this place; it was conveniently located near beaches, shopping, and the docks for the Channel Islands. It was close to grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed walking to the beach to watch the sun set every day. There's also a cute Mini Golf/games park nearby. We weren't far from Santa Barbara to enjoy activities there. The host was friendly and helpful; I loved their story about how they came to this place. Very clean with comfortable beds and cozy living space. We came with our teen granddaughter, and we had plenty to do in the area to keep her entertained. I would certainly stay here again!

We loved walking to the beach and restaurants, the cottage was comfortable, thoughtfully appointed and nicely decorated. We would definitely stay at the Merry Mermaid again!

Amazing Stay at the Merry Mermaid

Everything about our stay here was amazing. The location near the beach, having our dog with us, the house itself is adorable. Our host Jenny checked in right away and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Great girls trip!

We do a yearly girls trip and this year chose Ventura to go to the Channel Islands. This place was GREAT! Easy access to the beach and restaurants! Host was very kind and responsive!

Well Equipped Down the Street from the Beach

Perfect for us!

We enjoy visiting Ventura and Jen's place was definitely charming and relaxing. Just a block from the beach and a few blocks from good restaurants, the cottage is perfect for us and our small dog. We'll be back!

What a great find!

My girls were over the moon for the Mermaid Cottage! A few minute walk to the beach. Owner lives next door so easy to communicate. I would like to visit again with friends.
