Pretty, but some challenges

Beautiful roof deck and lovely neighbors. Easy to get from the airport. A bit of a learning curve with the key-- it took 20+ minutes to get in the first few days. The shower is a bathtub with an attached nozzle you hold. Good washing machine and dishwasher. We paid much more than other properties because we needed wifi. First the host denied the wifi modem was missing, so we spent hours trying to find it. When I asked if someone could come help us locate it, she said no and that we should "go down to the street to find wifi." The next day she relayed her family member took it, and we should purchase one, (I tried, the stores were sold out). After two days she provided one that didn’t work. She insisted it did and became hostile when we asked for a solution, accusing us of causing her electricity to turn off while we were sleeping (so I guess be aware that the electricity may go out). On the evening of day 6 (of 8), she sent someone over who confirmed the modem was broken and replaced it. We requested compensation for the lack of wifi for over 75% of the stay, since we had to spend much of our time outside of the apartment to access wifi, and also because we spent *so many hours* searching for a modem that didn’t exist, walking across Venice to purchase her a modem, trying to get a broken modem to work with the only guidance of “just turn it on”, and attempting to convince the host we weren’t lying. She denied our request. All told, an exhausting week, but a pretty roof.

Great location and space but facilities need updating

The apartment is in a great location just off Fondamente Nuove at Ospedale, close to S.Giovanni e Paolo, and so not far from Rialto and/or San Marco, or indeed eastern Castello. There’s a supermarket nearby and a few local places to eat. Upstairs, it IS a bit of a climb, the apartment is a good space with a fantastic large terrace

Die Wohnung ist etwas abseits der Touristenströmen im oberen Stockwerk und deshalb ruhig gelegen. Vaporettohaltestelle, Supermarkt, Bäckerei und gute Pizzeria sind nur ein Steinwurf entfernt. Die große Terrasse war natürlich toll. Die Wohnung selber ist charmant und sehr sauber. Das große Schlafzimmer mit dem großen Fenster ist top, aber im kleinen Schlafzimmer gibt es nur ein Dachfenster, welches nicht geöffnet werden kann. Das war bei der Hitze nicht sehr angenehm. Die Betten sind gut.

Idéal pour une découverte de Venise "à l'italienne"

L'appartement de Francesca est idéalement situé à 10 /15 mn à pied maximum des principales visites. Fonctionnel, il est bien équipé pour 4 personnes. Le top du top c'est la grande terrasse / roof-top, avec une magnifique lumière le matin pour un petit déjeuner au calme et profiter de l'ambiance locale le soir quand la chaleur retombe un peu. Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique avec de très bonnes conditions de visite. La possibilité de rentrer déjeuner le midi + sieste avant de repartir visiter est vraiment un plus. Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse ! Une petite amélioration possible : pouvoir occulter le velux de la petite chambre à 2 lits, il y fait jour très tôt ...

Calm, quite and convenient gently located.

This apartment is centrally located, quiet, clean and well furnished and, most importantly, it is only six-minute walk to the nearest ferry stop so getting there from the airport is relatively simple.

terrance, Terrace, TERRACE !

Don't let the musty and drab building entrance and the 57 stairs (yes, I counted them) to the flat put you off. Your climb pays off in many BIG ways when you enter this large, clean and very functional 2 bedroom apartment. While the decor is pretty outdated and the second bedroom is small and dark (and probably best suited for kids), the master bedroom is huge, bright and has the largest and most comfortable king-sized bed I've ever seen anywhere in Europe. But it is the unbelievable and enormous terrace that made our stay so special. Thanks to the perfect weather we had for our entire week, we never sat in the living room once because the terrace was our at-home haven. morning, noon and night.. The great light, fresh air and rooftop views were added to by the beautiful flowering plants that line the terrace and attracted butterflies and hummingbirds. Truly a wonderful and quiet "home" to return to after each day of exploring this extraordinary city. Highly recommended.

Ce qui nous a conquis, c'est la terrasse. Nous ne l'avons pas regretté. Une véritable pièce s'ouvrant sur les toits de Venise tout en étant abritée. Pour le reste, tout était honnête. Un regret cependant que la propriétaire ait été souffrante ce qui a donné des communications différées. Nous espérons qu'elle se rétablira sous peu.. Arivederci

Super appartement !

L'appartement est conforme à l'annonce et parfait pour une famille avec 2 enfants comme la nôtre. La terrasse est un vrai havre de paix. L'appartement est très bien placé ( arrivée de l'aéroport, îles, place saint Marc...)mais loin de la foule avec cependant toutes les commodités ! Parfait pour notre semaine en famille !

Fabulous location and outdoor terrace, stay here!

Top floor, with the most fabulous large sunny private (ie all to yourself) outdoor terrace, which is a rare commodity in Venice. We stayed for ten days so needed to relax outdoors somewhere. If you stay for only 2 or 3 days, you might be out site seeing all day, so that might not be a requirement for you. The apartment is in a nice quiet location, ie away from the bustle when you need to be able to sleep, but still a great location. Its light and spacious with high ceilings, art work, and lots of books. It felt like a home rather than a stark soulless holiday apartment We prefer this, but if you’re looking for a swish place this isn’t it. There’s a large comfy double bed in the bigger room, and two singles in the small room, which is quite small, but the beds are comfy and it served us well. Very well equipped kitchen/dining/living area if you want to cook for yourselves. Wouldn’t recommend if you have problems climbing stairs, there’s no lift, and we all had a good workout every time we climbed the stairs! Not sure how the internet worked, ie there’s a small box which I think you’d have to buy a sim for which we didn’t use. If you need internet I’d check with the owner what you have to do, and how well it works. It’s in a great location, ie 10 mins walk at the most from Ospendale boat stop on the North side of Venice. (Check the Alilaguna and Vaporetto boat stop map online before you go to see location of the stops around Venice) You can get the Alilaguna airport boat directly to the Ospendale (hospital) stop. It takes about 40 mins, runs every 30 mins, and then walk the ten mins to the apartment. The Ospendale boat stop also serves the Vaporetto boats, which are like a regular bus service that go all round Venice, and out to the islands eg Lido, Mirano and Burano. The apartment is on the right side of Venice Island to easily get out to the other Islands. It’s about a 15-20 min easy walk to San Marco Square through interesting lane ways and over bridges that cross the canals. There’s a bakery directly opposite, and the supermarket is right near the Ospendale boat stop ie a 5-10 min walk away which was super handy. The owner, Francesca, was friendly, helpful and efficient, and gave us some tips on Eg restaurants. She arranged for her housekeeper (who was also lovely) to meet us at the apartment when we arrived even though it was late. Overall we loved this place and would go back for sure!

A perfect apartment in a great location in Venice.

We have a family of 4 and loved our stay in this apartment. It offers the perfect combination: it is only a 10 minute walk from all the great attractions of Venice, but is quiet at night with just enough neighborhood restaurants so that we could eat on our street if we wished. We were very happy with the outstanding bakery and the outstanding pastry shop / cafe a few steps away. All the amenities were in perfect condition, with washing machine, dish washer, stove, etc. We were happy to have the terrace, although we hardly used it since we were out walking and boating around Venezia and the other islands. Thanks for a wonderful week in your beautiful city.

Uriges Apartment mit traumhaftem Dachgarten.

Wenn man die steilen Stufen in den vierten Stock geschafft hat, wartet ein schönes Apartment. Es ist etwas abgewohnt, das kleinere Schlafzimmer hat kein Fenster zum öffnen. Das wird bei Sonne und 27 Grad Celsius stickig. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, ein paar größere Wassergläser wären schön! Wir haben zwei Weingläser gekauft und dort gelassen, die vorhandenen sind alle blind. Eine separarte Dusche gibt es leider nicht, ansonsten ist das Bad völlig in Ordnung. Das Apartment war sehr sauber. Die kleinen Mängel wurden durch den traumhaften Dachgarten ausgeglichen, auf dem wir uns meist aufgehalten haben nach unseren Erkundungen durch die Stadt. Leider funktionierte das WLAN nicht, auf unsere Ansage diesbezüglich bei der Vermieterin bekamen wir leider keine Antwort, so dass es für die gesamte Zeit dabei blieb.

Dolce vita à Venise !

Tout commence la veille de l'arrivée par le mail dans lequel Francesca partage ses adresses préférées pour faire les courses ou ses idées de restaurant. Arrive ensuite l'appartement, totalement conforme à la description, et on se laisse charmer immédiatement ! Merci Francesca pour votre sens de l'accueil, votre très agréable appartement et sa terrasse arborée si romantique. Un véritable havre de paix. Nous reviendrons à Venise et espérons pouvoir passer quelques jours chez vous. Amitiés !

Une bonne adresse dans un quartier calme

Nous avons séjourné en juillet, période d'affluence touristique, et donc fortement apprécié l'emplacement de cet appartement situé dans le quartier Castello, dans une rue calme et vivante, en retrait de l'agitation estivale mais cependant à environ 10 minutes de Saint-Marc et du Rialto (quand on ne se perd pas...:-). A environ 400m, l'arrêt vaporetto Ospedale permet de rejoindre directement l'aéroport, les îles (Burano, Murano, etc), ainsi que de nombreuses correspondances. Le plus du logement est sa terrasse, très agréable pour se reposer après des journées bien remplies (penser à prévoir des anti-moustiques, à cette période c'est indispensable !). L'appartement est fonctionnel, un petit rafraîchissement pourrait cependant être envisagé (placards, connexion wi-fi...). Nous avons gentiment été accueillies par Yumiko, la personne qui s'occupe du ménage et de l'accueil des touristes. La propriétaire, Francesca, a bien répondu à nos demandes d'information par mail. Un logement que nous avons donc apprécié lors de notre séjour.

MAGIQUE ET MAGNIFIQUE

MAGNIFIQUE 1 seul mot MAGNIFIQUE. Le quartier est un quartier habité par des vénitiens. Extrêmement bien situé pour aller rapidement à pieds vers le Rialto ou San Zaccaria. La terrasse est superbe et fait oublier totalement les escaliers un peu raides. :-))

War in Ordnung insgesamt.

Leider gibt es keinen Internetanschluss (mehr ).Mussten Einiges erledigen und es war lästig , ins Internetcafe zu gehen .Die Wohnung ist im Küchenbereich renovierungsbedürftig . Töpfe un d Pfannen könnten erneuert werden. Die Inlets vom Bett müssen gewaschen werden. Die Wohnung hat Charme .Besonders die Terrasse , auf der aber mindestens die Hälfte der (teilweise ollen ) Möbel beseitigt werden könnte. Vermieterin und Housekeeperin nett. Hat alles geklappt.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Quartier. Lage ist perfekt - außerhalb der Touristenströme und doch zentral

Wir haben eine Woche Urlaub mit Familie in Venedig genossen. Perfekte Anbindung an den Airport über Alilaguna bis Ospedale wo sich auch ein guter Supermarkt befindet. Gute Betten für vier Personen und eine authentische Einrichtung. Die Dachterrasse ist sehr groß und lädt zum Essen und Pausieren ein. Bäcker und ein eine gute Pizza to go sind direkt nebenan. Die Übergabe war problemlos.

A wonderful home base for our stay in Venice!

Francesca's flat was wonderful and we enjoyed our stay! She was a helpful host and the property had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the terrace and the location is great; not too close to the big crowds but only a short walk to whatever we wanted to see and close to a vaporetto stop. We did experience some issues with the wifi, but Francesca was responsive when we notified her of the problem. We would defiantly recommend this property to anyone heading to Venice!
