It was lovely and located out of the fray of tourists but accessible to everything. There were lots of wonderful restaurants in the square nearby.A great stay

We were dropped by water taxi away from the property and had to haul our luggage to the apartment. This is not what was explained or understood. Information on how to access the property was well explained, however, host does not speak English and unable to answer questions.This property is in a residential area and in a quiet location, this is positive. Keep in mind the bed is a DOUBLE/FULL size, not a queen, not a king. There is little or no walking room on either side of the bed. The kitchen is equipped with bits and pieces of hodge podge glassware (only 2 wine glasses) and the pots and pans were dirty and the sponge was used previously. Normal VRBO supplies were sparse. There was no explanation on how to use a/c or heat or anything else, including the TV, common areas, optional laundry etc. TV had issues that were never resolved. Courtyard floods when it rains.

Modern and clean inside, yet classic outside. Air conditioning, WiFi, and new tv made our stay comfortable. Also enjoyed the courtyard. Close to Santa Margarita square for food and drinks.

Lovely comfortable rental in nice neighborhood

We enjoyed our week in La Cassetta. The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed. The AC worked great in the hot August weather and our host, Raffella lives on site and was a great help making sure everything worked the way it should. We loved the location in Dosoduro with Compo Santa Margarita just a 2 minute walk away. Many nice restaurants, a. grocery store, gelato, pizza and far fewer crowds of tourists as in other Venice neighborhoods. Vaparetto stops to get you anywhere in Venice were within a 10-12 minute walk. The only caution is that if you have a lot of luggage and are arriving at Piazalle Roma or the train station, you might want to hire a porter since getting up and over the bridges on the way to the apartment can be a chore. Porters can be found in Piazalle Roma. Or for more money, a water Taxi can get you to the front gate. We will be staying at La Cassetta again when we return to Venice.

Very Enjoyable

Listing was exactly as described, close to all transportation, shopping, restaurants, etc. The one minus is the pullout couch is a bit short and could use a better mattress, otherwise a great place and lovely stay.

Very Nice Place

Both Matteo and Raffaella were great communicators and responded quickly to any questions we had. The “La Cassetta” was conveniently located, clean,comfortable, and well equipped. We wouldn’t hesitate to book it again and give it a big thumbs up!

Perfect

Very nice quiet, homey place that's a short walk to the train station and a short walk to the boat bus stop that gives you easy access to Venice and all the surrounding islands. Great to enjoy the revelry of carnival but return to a cozy sleep every night. Convenient to grocery store and restaurants.

Gorgeous late September weekend in Venice!

We loved La Casetta! The apartment is perfect to 2-3 people with the most stylish and functional brand new kitchen. We even had our own courtyard to enjoy coffee in the morning or a glass of wine before dinner. The location can't be beat if you want to be on the Dorsoduro side of Venice. You are literally steps away from Campo Santa Margherita which we think is the best square in Venice because of the great cafes and mix of residents, students and tourists. Our hosts were kind and attentive. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Venice! Grazie mile!

Phenomenal!

La Casetta is immaculately clean, extremely well appointed - thoughtful touches everywhere. Really good quality cookware and nice glass ware. The entry courtyard is more gorgeous than you see in the VRBO photos, and there is also a private courtyard to enjoy. The location is fabulous - a 3 minute walk to Campo Santa Margherita, which is a dellightful square. It's close to the vaporettos, a pleasant walk to Piazza San Marco. La Casa is truly a wonderful value, and I would stay there again without question!

Perfect

Perfect accommodation, sparklingly clean and with great ventilation. All rooms open to the freshness of garden and space. Quality window fittings which frame the peaceful environment. Walking to St Marco Piazza and railway station was fun. We walked everywhere. The food shopping was easy as it was over a bridge and at the end of a square. Access to everywhere. Loved it .

Perfect spot for a few days in Venice.

Quiet neighborhood but 4 minutes walk to a lively square and 15 minutes walk to the major highlights of the city (and the rail/bus hubs). Crisp AC for relief on a hot august afternoon. Recommed Trattoria Anzolo Raffaele nearby!

Perfect location- superb property!

This is a perfect location in Venice in our opinion. Very quiet and serene location, neighborhood, and property. Steps from the bus station and a wonderful “ campo”- Santa Margaretha. We felt very grateful to have the option of sitting in the lovely private courtyard after the hustle and bustle of the city. The photos are very accurate and up to date. Comfortable and modern bedding and amenities. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property, Great Location, Difficult gate

This bnb is located in a super cute courtyard very close to Campo Santa Margherita & not very far from Piazzale Roma (buses & cars) or the train station. Santa Margherita is known for local night life. It is also an easy walk to the Accademia bridge or the Zattere. The bathroom is very spacious & there are large windows in the living room that you can look out or cover with curtains. The back looks into a grassy area with an arbor covered in vines. You dont normally associate Venice with green spaces, but you'll have one here. There is a small kitchen, but they have provided pans etc to cook if you like. There is a grocery nearby in Campo SM. There is a gate leading into the courtyard which creates added security. The keypad is extremely finicky. We never got it work on the first try & it gets worse when it rains or is humid out. Be prepared to stand outside the gate for several minutes pressing the code over & over. The keypad on the house itself works much better. Also there is a 4E pp a night fee that you have to pay in cash in addition to what you have already paid through VRBO. This fee changes city to city. You will also have to send a copy of your passport via email or whatsapp to the host. This will be true for any bnb in Italy, so just be ready for that.
