"We chose the Illinois River Valley because it is halfway between my home in Kentucky and my brother's home in Minnesota. It is in building Y nestled in a wooded corner of a cluster of lovely cedar-shingled fourplexes behind the Grand Bear Resort. You can walk to the St. Louis Canyon trail from the complex. "Great location for the water park, hikes and down town. Lots of games and fun things to do in the villa. You need to bring everything- shampoo, soap etc do come prepared even if for one night!"

"Great location! Clean and roomy! Minutes away from Starved Rock and within 20 minutes to some delicious local restaurants and breweries. The Bear Lodge also has amenities - mini golf, corn hole boards, outdoor bar and water park. Would stay here again!"
