"Yes it must have been a challenge to fuse circa 1931 architecture with modern demands for private bathrooms and comforts...but...having no place to sit on a chair with a small tablely-type-thingy is an issue. The irony is that there is a small hob (prob not connected, didn't try) with no cooking equipment. I doubt that it's even legal to cook in the rooms anyway. "The Staff were lovely and helpful, unfortunately the TV in the room was broken which wasnt a huge issue as only staying the one night. Great beds and quiet in the rooms. Had live music and couldn't hear it in the rooms at all but was loud in the restaurant/pub). It would be nice if the connected restaurant correctly gave you staying discounts (which I did not receive but my friend did) and the play area in the restaurant is filthy and needs a good clean."
