A Slice of Paradise on the Hood Canal. My three-month stay at this waterfront gem in Union, WA was nothing short of transformative. If you are looking for a place where the pace of life slows down to the rhythm of the tides, this is it. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the stunning, panoramic views of the Hood Canal. The amenities were thoughtfully curated for a long-term stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. For wildlife lovers, this property is a front-row seat to some of the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer. I spent hours watching. Birds & Ducks…the variety is incredible—from majestic Bald Eagles soaring overhead to colorful Wood Ducks and Mergansers bobbing in the water. Each morning, I was greeted by curious Harbor Seals popping their heads above the glass-like water. The water here is uniquely calm, making it a haven for herons and Kingfishers that became my daily companions. Peace and Serenity….. I appreciated most the profound peacefulness. Tucked away from the noise of the world, the only sounds were the soft lap of waves and the distant call of an eagle. It provided the perfect environment for working remotely (the Wi-Fi was flawless) or simply soaking in the solitude.Being just minutes from the Alderbrook Resort and local shops in Union gave me the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. I leave left with a heavy heart but look forward to returning in 2026!
