"Josef is a most gracious host, kind, attentive , accommodating, and and knowledgeable. The facilities are modern and clean, we lacked for nothing. Saw some lovely birds and even bushbabies right in the back yard at the pool. A safe bet for your first africa trip."

"Le Gem in the Bush est un lodge récent superbement équipé et très confortable. Le personnel est très agréable et les repas étaient très bien cuisinés et copieux."

"No hotel staff at reception when we arrived at 6PM, the key was provided to us by a local ranger. the wifi does not work at all, we reported to the ranger that gave us the key but he could not help. he tried to call the hotel responsible but they did not really care. we could not connect to wifi at all during our stay. "After two nights staying here I have several things to say about this place. First, I was surprised to learn that drinks where not included in a full board stay, even mineral water had to be paid. "Wir haben das Riverhaus (Familien-Chalet) für 4 Personen gebucht. Das war sehr schön und grosszügig. Die Tiere (Nyala, Warzenschweine usw.) konnten wir von der Terrasse aus beobachten. Im holzbefeuerten Whirpool (wird von den Mitarbeitern aufgeheizt, kostet zusätzlich) haben wir die Umgebung genossen, war toll. Auch sonst war alles sehr schön und bestens. Die morgendliche Anfahrt ins "Big-5-Gebiet" dauert etwas und man muss sich warm anziehen, lohnt sich aber auf jeden Fall."

"Excellent host and staff are very friendly. Room had the best view over the riverbed, it was great sitting outside in the evenings, listening to the sounds of the bush. Room had everything we needed. Pool was lovely on hot days! Great value for money!"
