Home from Home

This is my second stay as we did Dave Day 2025 on motorcycles. Emma is a great host, friendly and welcoming. In the 5 days we stayed we had visits from the Chickens, Sheep, Cows not forgetting Disco and Samba.

Fantastic experience

We had a brilliant time, especially our 9 month old son who loved all the farm animals coming up to and into the garden! House was exactly what we needed to and the owners have thought of everything in terms of what you will need whilst there. Beautiful setting with beautiful views

Excellent Stay

TYAN cottage is an absolute gem of establishment. Emma’s hospitality is second to none. Views amazing and change from room to room. Wildlife on your door step. With the exception of the occasional Moo from the cows absolute silence. Definitely a place I’ll visit again, even if just to get away and enjoy the landscape.

Beautiful location

We had a wonderful stay at Tyan. The maisonette was very well equipped and a nice welcome package was awaiting. The information folder was the best we had ever seen, and very helpful There are beautiful country walks right on your door step and the views are amazing. Larger groups should be aware. it was a bit tight for 5 people, and the bedrooms are quite small.

Ein ruhiger Rückzugsort in schöner Landschaft

Einzigartige Lage fernab von touristischem Trubel. Genau das Richtige zum Runterkommen und Entspannen. Die Wohnung (Tyan) war perfekt ausgestattet und hatte einen eigenen Garten mit Liegen, auf denen man den Sonnenuntergang genießen kann. Sollte man doch mal etwas Abwechslung brauchen, so kann man sich beim Pool Billiard, Tischtennis oder Dart versuchen. Hauptsächlich wird man jedoch Wanderungen durch die wunderschöne, natürliche Landschaft unternehmen.

Beautiful holiday cottage

We had a relaxing and comfortable week at Tyan in the Easter hols with our teenage children and 4 month old pup. Lovely open plan living space with gorgeous views out to the fells, the adjoining conservatory provided a great additional space and being able to let the pup straight out into the private grassy garden was very useful. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was extremely clean and well-equipped. The games room provided much entertainment. A Surrounding area is very peaceful, short drive to Lowick Common to exercise the pup. Ulverston was a 10 min drive for a variety of shops and pubs Great comms from the host Emma before and during our stay. Easy check-in process and thoughtful treats greeted us on our arrival. Highly recommended.

Home From Home

Best equipt place we have stayed. Everything you could want was included, the property was for 5 people, you would usually get only 5 of everything, not here there were mulitple of plates, cups, knives, forks etc. The places is in a lovely location, surrounded by hills and valleys. We stayed with 3 dogs. Would definitely go back and recommend.

The Perfect Reset

Tyan Cottage was hands down our favorite place to stay on our 2 week adventure through England and Ireland. We arrived there after several days in London. And a drastic change in transportation plans, that left us without a rental car. When we arrived on site, late in the evening, and saw the beautiful landscape surrounding The Cottage and we all exhaled. We spent the next few days just relaxing and recharging. Canceling all our plans to hike and explore. Because we all felt so at peace. Our host, Emma, was a wonder as well. Knowing we didn't have transportation, she offered us a lift into town to get provisions. Which we gratefully accepted. So, if you want a quiet place to enjoy. Tyan Cottage should be your number one place to consider.

Simply Wonderful

We can’t recommend this place enough! We arrived to a lovely welcome pack of fresh eggs, wine, bread and cake. Great location with beautiful surroundings. It was the first time away with our two dogs and they had the best time. The accommodation was faultless, very homely, comfortable and very clean and well equipped with everything you could need. Hope to return one day!

Amazing location and great accommodation

The location and property exceeded my expectations. The property had everything you could possibly need and I felt at home immediately. The property also located close to the National Park and visitor attractions bit far enough way so you feel totally isolated.

Amazing property in a stunning location

Home from home- absolutely stunning property in an amazing location. Views were incredible. Property was so comfortable, spotless and so quiet. Coniston lake nearby, ulverston a lovely town, fantastic information available in the apartment that led to many stunning walks and activities. We stayed a week- I could have easily stayed a month. Never wanted it to end. Will 100% return.
