Die Unterkunft ist prinzipiell in Ordnung. Die Aussicht ist super. Leider ist die ganze Anlage sehr in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig. Bei Aufenthalt von einer Woche war das Frühstück inklusive. Bei Aufenthalt von mindestens einer Wo

Stunning escape outside of downtown Ubud

Our family with two teens and one 9 year old stayed with another family for 4 nights. The staff was absolutely amazing, the venue could not be more stunning, and we enjoyed every bit of time we spent there. It’s also helpful that they have a driver on call that you can use for an additional fee. We highly recommend staying here again and it’s good for families and groups.

Gorgeous spot great for groups

Villa Santai is as beautiful as it is in the pictures. There was plenty of room and privacy for all eight of us, but also lovely common areas for everyone to enjoy. The staff are wonderful, and did their best to accommodate us.

Absolute Paradise

We visited as a family and friends group of 6 and loved every minute, despite the torrential rain! Putra, Wayan and all of the staff were just delightful and the setting was perfect. Even though we were 'rained in' for a lot of the time, we had an absolute ball; watching the monkeys in the trees, playing card games in the covered, open air living space and swimming in the pool. We had some magnificant meals at the villa also (make sure you try the suckling pig!) There were also some local warungs within walking distance that were great for meals also. We'll definitely be back.

The most magical home/staff!!!

Words can not even begin to express how magical this home is in Ubud. From our pickup by our chauffeur, Wayan to being greeted by the house manager, Made, to all the lovely women on staff (chefs, housekeeping)...everything was flawless! The staff made the entire vacation. A delicious breakfast awaited us every morning, catered to our individual tastes. The food was delicious. The staff took down our lunch/dinner requests each day we decided not to leave the property. Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff catered to our every request. Housekeeping was impeccable. The staff worked around our schedule so as not to disturb our vacation. They took care of our outside laundry needs as well as reservations for meals off property. Wayan, the driver, was always prompt and on hand for any off property excursions. He was knowledgeable and made our transportation needs effortless. We can not thank him enough. The villa was also kind enough to book us a massage everyday of our stay. I highly recommend the services of the masseuse Putu who provided us with the most relaxing massages. Our time at the Villa Santai will remain in our hearts as one of the most magical, effortless vacations ever! We just wish that Bali was not such a long distance away from the US otherwise we would return every year!!! We can not say enough great things about the staff and the beautiful Villa Santai. We give this place our highest rating!!!!! Wes & Robert

Beautiful spot, great service, Driver was phenomenal

First off, Wyn, the personal driver made our stay the best it could ever be. He was so accomodating, everyone was, but Wyn was the best. STRONGLY recommend asking for him when you go. Such a good soul. So the place, BEAUTIFUL! the view of the forest was remarkable. Like pictures cannot capture the beauty. the rooms were clean, service couldnt be better. Only issue I had was a couple of us did not have warm water for showers the entire stay. Others had scorching hot water. We managed, we just embraced the indigenous experience. I did not get bit by bugs the entire stay, a couple of my friends did but not I. I would suggest getting bug spray in Bali it works better than the ones from the states. Overall great experience.. i was sad when i had to leave. Would come back no question.

Your own piece of paradise

My family and I stayed at Villa Santai in early June of 2019 and from getting picked up at our hotel in Nusa Dua by Wayan to meeting Made in Ubud at the Villa, everyone made us feel very welcome. The Villa is in a beautiful setting among rice paddies not too far from Ubud village. Made was very available to help with anything we needed from booking massages at the Villa to arranging transport with Wayan wherever we wanted to go. I would highly recommend staying at Villa Santai and will book here on my next trip!

Amazing experience

Bellissima casa e location, ottima per il relax e il contatto con la natura. Per chi vuole una vacanza tranquilla in un contesto estetico unico. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile, tra le tante cose belle e comode l'unico miglioramento che suggerisco è di mettere i vetri nelle camere, per il rumore (soprattutto quando piove) e l'umidità.

You must stay in Villa Santai! It is Beautiful!

Villa Santai is an absolutely gorgeous place and I recommend it to anyone that wants to visit Ubud, Bali. Perfect for a family, a group of friends or a couple on a romantic getaway. The scenery of the forest in the backyard is breathtaking. You can even hear the sounds of the river valley. Going for a dip in the pool while looking at the view is truly relaxing. The staff at Villa Santai are very courteous and hospitable. Whatever I needed, whether it was booking a massage or making a reservation at a restaurant, they made sure to set it up for me. The food that the chef makes is delicious. It's very convenient that there is a driver provided by the Villa because it is a very short drive up the mountain from Ubud village. It's nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy village and then have a peaceful evening back at the Villa where there is a kind staff waiting. There is a security guard that stays there at night so I always felt safe and secure. I liked staying there so much that I ended up extending my stay...I was not ready to leave! Don't be surprised if you feel that same when you're there. I highly recommend this gorgeous, serene place.
