And the best part of the Villa however was our driver, Ariawan "Ari". Ari picked us up from the airport and drove us wherever we wanted for our 3 day stay in Ubud. He gave us great recommendations on places to go. During our drives he told us lots of info about the fascinating history and culture of Bali. He happily answered my many questions too. He...

"Blown away by the quality of the stay at Devi’s place. I wasn’t expecting the villa to be so luxurious, it was really a treat for me. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. When I did venture out they were available to give advice and take me to the places I wanted to see. The area is about 2kms from Ubud centre so I spent more time in the area, local spas and Warungs. I recommend Cantika Zest for a spa day out and getting Lisna to come to your villa for a spa day in if it’s raining...

"This property was unique has it was built entirely from timber and had beautiful carved facade. There were two separate rooms with own outside bathrooms. The bathroom could use small adjustments such as a bigger flat stone in shower area. The pool was amazing and clean. Beautiful large grounds surrounded the jogolo villa. Very traditional type accommodation. It was situated out of Ubud in the Sayan area. Local drivers fare back into Ubud 50000 rupiah. -$5:00 Australian. "

"The place is as pretty as the pictures. There’s wifi, proper air conditioning, working kitchen, and I do wake up with that beautiful sceneries. Staffs are very friendly. One thing though, there were only 2 restaurants around and close quite early. So manage your time well."

El único inconveniente fue el cuarto de baño, que aunque amplio los sanitarios , grifo y mueble del lavabo se veían antiguos. Como positivo las alcachofas de las dos duchas eran nuevas. "Diese Anlage liegt total abgelegen und deshalb haben wir hauptsächlich gewechselt in eine zentral gelegene Unterkunft in Ubud. Diesen Sachenverhalt hätten wir natürlich selbst bedenken müssen. Das ändert aber nichts daran, dass die Bettwäsche nicht sauber und die Kissen Stockflecken hatten. Insgesamt machte die Villa einen sehr abgewohnten Eindruck (Flecken auf den Sofas). Und auch der Pool war nicht wirklich einladend. Morgens das Frühstück direkt in der Villa zubereitet zu bekommen, finden...

"Amazing rooms with private pool (4 of us stayed as a family so we had the room upstairs and the other downstairs. Service was great. Food brought to us was tasty and reasonable. Away a little bit from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. They do have a free shuttle service if you want to go into town."

"Muy alejado del centro. La habitación, no muy limpia. Y los empleados, cuidado, intentan venderte cosas( tours,oros, coches...) fuera de los del hotel.... el aire acondicionado estuvo estropeado los cinco días, por más que lo dijimos, como si nada. Tres días pedimos te en el desayuno y todavía lo estamos esperando. Se nos rompió la llave de la habitacion( estaba mal desde el principio) y querían q la pagáramos....muy bonito pero muy poco práctico. Ni los taxistas sabían donde estaba"
