The villa is tucked away down a quiet paved laneway edged by jungle and river, giving it a calm and private feel while still being close to daily essentials. It is approximately 250 metres from Bintang Supermarket and around 400 metres walking distance from car access on Jl. Labak. Ubud Centre is also within walking distance, making Villa Hijau a strong choice for guests who want a peaceful base without being fully dependent on transport.

Villa Hijau sleeps up to five guests across two fully contained bedrooms. Bedroom one has a king bed. Bedroom two can be prepared as either one king bed or two single beds, making the villa suitable for two couples, families with children, friends travelling together or guests who prefer separate beds. A fifth guest can be accommodated on a trundle bed by prior arrangement. Please confirm your preferred bedroom configuration when booking so the villa can be prepared correctly before arrival.
Both bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, walk-in robes and private full bathrooms with hot and cold water. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and storage space, giving guests privacy and making the villa practical for shared stays.

The layout allows guests to enjoy time together in the living, dining, pool and outdoor areas while still having their own retreat at the end of the day.

The villa is designed around open-plan indoor-outdoor living. The main living area flows towards the pool and outdoor spaces, creating a relaxed tropical atmosphere. The pool is visible from inside the villa, which is especially useful for families who want to keep an eye on children while enjoying the indoor living spaces. There are two spacious sitting areas, outdoor lounges and a calm garden setting, giving guests several places to read, work, relax, swim or spend time together.

The private swimming pool is one of Villa Hijau’s central features. It is the perfect place to cool down after exploring Ubud, visiting temples, walking through rice fields, shopping at local markets, enjoying a spa treatment or taking day trips around Bali. The pool and garden area create a strong sense of retreat, especially in the mornings and late afternoons when the villa feels peaceful, green and removed from the busier parts of town.

Villa Hijau includes modern amenities for both short visits and longer stays. There is a dedicated workspace for guests who need to work during their stay, along with a new LG TV with Bluetooth connectivity for relaxed evenings at home.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and casual dining. It includes a full-size refrigerator, gas cooktop and the utensils needed for cooking and eating at the villa. Guests can easily prepare breakfast, snacks, simple lunches or relaxed dinners at home. One complimentary gallon of drinking water is provided for arrival, and additional water can be purchased through the Villa Attendant. For families and longer stays, the ability to store groceries, cook and eat at home adds flexibility and value.

The villa also includes a washing machine and washing line, which is useful for longer stays, families, guests travelling light or anyone spending time at beaches, pools or outdoor activities. Daily house cleaning is included in the housekeeping charge. For stays of more than two weeks, twice-weekly towel and linen changes are included in the housekeeping fee. Additional laundry or more frequent linen changes can be arranged as a self-pay service through the Villa Attendant.

Villa Hijau is particularly well suited to families. The flexible bed configuration, two bathrooms, washing machine, full kitchen, pool visibility from indoors and private setting make family travel easier. Parents can prepare meals and snacks, keep routines flexible and enjoy shared downtime without being confined to a hotel room. Please note that, as with many Bali villas, the pool is not gated or locked, so children must be actively supervised at all times.

Access to the villa is part of its charm, but guests should understand the arrival details before booking. Villa Hijau is not directly accessible by car. It is reached via a quiet paved laneway and a flight of stairs. The Villa Attendant will meet guests at the roadside and carry luggage to the villa on arrival.

Scooter access is available, and free roadside scooter parking is available during your stay. Guests with mobility limitations, heavy luggage concerns, prams or difficulty with stairs should consider this carefully before booking.

Check-in is available from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and checkout is before 11:00 am. If you expect to arrive after 10:00 pm, this must be arranged in advance. Late check-in after 10:00 pm attracts an after-hours service fee of 100,000 IDR, payable directly to the Villa Attendant at check-in.

Transport can be arranged to the villa from anywhere in Bali, including airport transfers or transfers from another area. Transfer fees are payable directly to the driver. Transfers should be pre-booked within three days of check-in to ensure smooth arrival arrangements.

During your stay, Villa Hijau recommends Nyoman’s Bali Driver service, including trusted support for transfers, day trips and activities. Erik from Nyoman’s Bali Driver service can assist guests with organising and booking day trips and adventures.

Scooter hire can also be arranged and delivered to the villa through the Villa Attendant. This may be convenient for confident and legally permitted riders. Ubud central is increasingly busy, and police actively regulate international drivers, so guests should ensure they understand international driver licence requirements before riding. For many guests, walking and private drivers will be the easiest transport options.

The villa operates with some standard Bali systems. Villas in Bali commonly use pre-paid electricity. The meter is checked whenever the Villa Attendant is at the villa to help ensure ongoing supply. If electricity runs out unexpectedly, guests should contact the Attendant for assistance. Air-conditioning is provided in the bedrooms and cools the rooms quickly. Guests are asked to turn off air-conditioning when rooms are not in use. If guests wish to run air-conditioning continuously 24 hours a day, an additional electricity charge of 50,000 IDR per day applies. Please let the Attendant know if this is your preference.

Gas is provided for the cooktop. One new gas bottle is included. If a partially used bottle is fitted at check-in, a new bottle will be supplied at no cost when it becomes empty. Additional gas bottles can be purchased through the Villa Attendant if required.
