The Perfect Anniversary Getaway in Ubud!My husband and I spent four wonderful days here celebrating our anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and at home. The villa was even more beautiful in person—immaculately clean, thoughtfully designed, and so peaceful.We loved having our own private pool tucked away in the backyard—it felt like our own little sanctuary. Whether we were enjoying a morning swim or relaxing in the evening surrounded by the sounds of nature, it was pure bliss.The staff were absolutely amazing—kind, helpful, and always made us feel so welcome. They took such great care of us, from arranging transportation to preparing fresh coconuts for us. Every detail was handled with such warmth and attention.The location was perfect too—just a short walk to Ubud center but far enough away to feel secluded and quiet. One of the best coffee shops we found was just steps from the villa (BKG) and the best breakfast spot was on the other corner (Foodalogy)! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind, reconnect, and celebrate our special day.We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, romantic escape in Ubud!

This typical balinese villa was gorgeous and in a great position in Penestanan. The villa is right in heart of a close spa, few shops and great restaurants & local warungs. Its close to the campunghun ridge walk leading to Tara spa, which was amazing. Visited restaurants such as elemts, la luz and samis, all fabulous food. The team in the villa was great, Arys our driver and guide was full of patience and knowlege, and coman kept villa clean and sorted laundry which was a godsend. We packed far too much but knowing now how easy laundry service is, id travel light. Thank you Cherie, Arys & Coman for making our stay unforgettable ❤️

Nous avons passé 5 jours dans cette superbe maison !! Le lieu est magnifique et très propre, l’accès à Ubud est très facile grâce au Grab ! Aux alentours, il y a plein d’endroits pour ce restaurer ou boire un verre ( coup de cœur pour le Luz à deux pas de la maison ) La piscine est vraiment appréciable, même si elle était un peu froide pour nous …Nous espérons revenir un jour !

Perfect setting!

Laba Puseh was the perfect setting for our vacation! The house is extremely comfortable, clean and well attended. Komang and Ketut were amazingly obliging hosts and managers…everything was looked after with care and professionalism.

The villa is perfectly located to be away from the main road noise and easy access to all the walks around the area and spoilt for choice for eating venues. You are close to neighbours (although cannot see them) who can spoil the serenity if they are inconsiderate and noisey - especially at night time. The design of the villa is excellent with open seating area and kitchen and air conditioned bedrooms with lovely open air bathrooms.. perhaps a little timely refresh of some of the furnishings and kitchen would be good. We would happily stay again.

Great property, good location once you discover and download “maps.me” app that guides you through all the pretty shortcuts to lovely restaurants and shops keeping you off the busy main roads. Really disappointed that the transport recommended through this booking had such highly inflated prices so we soon sourced our own which was easy to do. Would recommend a short stop here 5-8 days as part of a bigger trip rather than 2 weeks as we did as traveling takes so long due to the congestion on the roads which limits your ability to explore it all from this one stop. A great villa to explore this area from!

Absolutely gorgeous!

We made this gorgeous Villa our base for three weeks. We took a trip to Komodo Island. It was fun and we have great photos! We took a trip to Gili Meno Island and left early and were so happy to get back. Komang cleaned for us everyday, was charming and helpful. We didn’t meet Ketut but she answered any questions we had promptly. I hate to recommend this villa so strongly as I hope we can return someday.

Very nice Villa in typical Balinese style

We as a family had a good time in the villa. Location is very good and the place is beautiful! If you go to central Ubud be aware that the road cannot be used by car on the way back during daytime. There are many restaurants and shops including nice massage around the villa!

Penestanan getaway

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the villa as it is set back from the busy main road. However despite being outside the main centre of Ubud there were so many coffee shops and great restaurants nearby as well as an excellent spa and massage business next door. The villa was well equipped and nicely decorated. The pool and garden were beautiful. The outdoor garden en suite bathrooms were a nice touch. Komang kept everything clean and today every day. The bedrooms were nice with traditional aspects, four poster beds and mosquito netting. Air con worked very well in the bedrooms. I found the bed mattress a little too hard but that is a personal preference. I would add a couple more comfortable arm chairs in the lounge area and more cooking equipment in the kitchen, like a larger fry pan as that would be useful for those who like to self cater occasionally.

Super ... like really Super!

Greatly enjoyed our stay at Cheri's place. Location is very convenient to Alchemy, the back lanes of Penestanan, and not too far to get to Bintang supermarket or Nuri's. Not large - but containing everything that we needed. Property is private and generally quiet, and with the loveliest of pools. Komang was also very helpful. One piece of advice: use the transport provided by Ketut and team. Roads in the area can be designated one-way at times, which will add time to Go / Grab drivers getting to you, and the staff will get you where you need to be, on time and in comfort. Hope to be back again!

Beautiful property, great location

This property was fantastic! We loved our time spent here on our trip and found the location very convenient. Ketut and Juli were very attentive and assisted us with transportation and tours of the places we wanted to see. They even provided recommendations for places to eat that were always delicious. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a quiet, private space with access to Ubud.

The perfect place

I would say this property was better than expected. A great value for the price. The pool with the fountain were the perfect place to relax, read and cool off. I loved the village of Penastanen and the staff made getting around easy. This is by far my favorite VRBO I have ever stayed at.

Wonderful Villa

PERFECT location, SPACIOUS villa with pool!!

Firstly, Cheri is a highly responsive host and replied quickly to all of our inquires - SUPER HELPFUL. The villa is spacious with 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds and lovely outdoor bathrooms. There is a central eating, dining and kitchen area with full fridge and filtered water dispenser. The private pool and comfortable loungers were enjoyed daily. The location is ideal and well within walking distance to the main streets and market areas as well as many amazing restaurants and activity centers. The villa location is slightly off a main street, but the unit was lovely and quiet and we rarely heard street noise.

Good to stay at this villa. Really accessible to the road and cafes, spas, yoga area. Great service from the staff. Nice pool, drinking water provided and good to have a fridge/cooker. Couldn't really spend much time in the living areas in the evenings as there were lots of mosquitoes about. Tiled areas were slippery when it rained.

Officially moving to Bali!

This precious villa genuinely made me to look into how to permanently move to Bali. The peacefulness, relaxation, and walk renting made me fall in love with Ubud every morning. Everyone was so responsive on all platforms & they even surprised my boyfriend with a bouquet of flowers for his birthday! Juli was our driver - highly recommend! He is so kind & the best driver to have on the lawless roads! I will be back!

Villa oasis for relaxation

Villa is an oasis for relaxation and rest. Having the 2 separate bedrooms were perfect for myself and grandgirls. The pool was very refreshing even for an evening swim. All you hear at night is the forest nightlife and what you hear in the morning is the forest waking up with various sounds of birds. You also wake to hearing meditation sounds that start at 0800 apprx. and lasts for about an hour or so. Very meditative sound for relaxation. Housekeeping is done daily with exception detail. You can hire the driver as well and we had an exceptionally excellent driver "Kadek". Request him and you will be thankful you did. We came to Bali as guests and we left feeling like family. Villa Puseh was exactly what I was searching for to honor my late husbands 1 year passing. Thank you for the memories and the peace and quiet my soul desperately needed after a long hard and sad year. Blessings to you all...

Beautiful

So glad we found this place, and that I read the other reviews, because the pictures for this villa don’t do it justice! The villa is beautiful, with a sparkling pool surrounded in lush garden. It was the perfect size for my partner, myself, and our 6 month baby. We also loved the location with lots of great restaurants just steps away, a fancy coffee place out the front, and a massage place that we visited twice. Definitely our favourite stay in Bali and hope we can visit again.

Lovely little villa

Villa was clean and welcoming with beautiful Indonesian style furnishings and pool. Green, tropical courtyard area and amazing part outdoor bathrooms. Easily located near lots of cafes and warungs. We were looked after really well by Juli when we went on some day trips to surrounding sites. Thanks so much!
