Check in process was easy and location felt comfortable and safe. The only issue I had was the cleanliness. I think a good scrub of the floors and walls would add to its value. The ceiling definitely needs to be fixed as it is caving in right above the kitchen table.

Cottage was cute and comfortable however it needs a LOT of TLC. Nice beach themed decor, somewhat comfortable furnishings. The cons, paint chipping on the walls and ceilings. Large place on the ceiling, above the dining table, where the boards have buckled. Particles dropping from that area in to our food and drinks. We could hear the scurrying of critters in the attic area as well. The gas grill was moldy when I uncovered it. The deck was slippery, as well as the rocks in the pergola area. Kitchen was equipped with enough plates and silverware.There wasn't anything other than 3 coffee cups and 1 glass, as far as drinkware was concerned. Everything else in the kitchen was adequate.The cottage is located in a great neighborhood and in a great location, a short walk to the lighthouse and a short walk to the island brewery...

The property was charming in a charming and a neighborhood. Convenient to the beach and to restaurants. The house itself reminded us of beach cottages. We stayed in in the 1950s.— a bit too much. The kitchen, as stipulated, was not for cooking merely for warming things up. And the interior itself could use some sprucing up. Still, we enjoyed our stay.

I recently rented this vacation rental, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. The property was not clean, with visible algae growing on the outside and windows. Inside, the ceiling was falling in, there were several cracks in the walls, holes in the floor, peeling paint, and mold on the kitchen surfaces. The bed sheets were dirty and stained, and I even found a dirty used razor in the trash can. These conditions were severely misrepresented in the pictures. We ended up leaving within an hour and did not stay at the property. To make matters worse, I had to wait two hours on hold with VRBO to even get a refund for the property, and I still haven't gotten the refund. Vacasa, the property manager, does not take action, has extremely poor communication, and promises to 'have the local team' address the issue, yet they never follow up. This rental needs a lot of work and cleaning. It is definitely not worth the rate. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is Jenna Dotson we will not be staying In this rental we walked in and back out in 5 minutes.. As we entered a very damp nasty smell . There were stains on bed along with bed bugs. There will be a bad review posted as well. As well as the directions are not acceptable.

Difficult time to get in as we had been given wrong info for lockbox (2 on front and 1 on back), (1.5 hours after arriving) difficulty getting assistance and internet instructions wrong - finally found on back of modem. Once in we appreciated location for grandson to play in park - recommend moving TV close to couch!

The location was good, less than 2 miles from the beach. For the price, everything was just okay. When we did our first walk through, the shower has a hole in it, the stove is not level, the curtains are see through and the bathroom curtains have large holes in them that someone covered up with toilet paper and there may have been mold around the windows. The floors need a really good deep clean.

Overall experience was great…I arrived really late due to weather and had a lot of issues with locating the exact area to the entrance but I CNA honestly be a little directionally challenged lol….listing states 14 it should state 14B would help a little if your in the dark only got to stay the one night for a short period but was overall good

The cottage was perfect for a quick getaway. It’s a great space for 2. It was pretty much as described in reviews and photos. The location was excellent, just a short walk to beach, convince store, and the lighthouse. My only issue was the bedding was not clean when we arrived, it smelled sour, and it took a whole day and a half to get assistance on the matter. And the refrigerator is too small and freezes everything you put it.

Enjoyed staying at this cute little beach cottage! I would agree with the other reviews of this place. The place was clean and looks just like the pictures. Things to know: 1. Coffee pot works - use the outlet next the sink/stove, not the one next to the kitchen light. 2. The shower is small and not made for large people, so use travel size toiletries. 3. Don’t forget bug spray - It’s Georgia and it’s summertime, so the bugs are bittin! 4. Fridge is small but we made it work because the shelves move. Just remember not to take home too many left overs when you go out to eat! 5. Bed is comfy and easy to crawl in and out of at the end.
