We were so looking forward to the last 3 days of our 10 day trip visiting Tybee Island & Savannah for the first time. I researched many properties for a beach front unit with great views and an elevator/Both my husband and I have knee issues. This unit seemed to fit our requirements but turned out to be a HUGE disappointment!! After getting parking pass from a difficult lockbox & parking where we were instructed to park ..not seeing an elevator in sight we climbed the 3 flights of steps to the unit. We asked someone where the elevator was located and was told it was on the other end of the building which was down 2 very long hallways! We walke d to the elevator and found there were steps up to the elevator. A housekeeper informed us that there was a ramp out front in the middle of the long bldg! So the elevator is on one end..the ramp is in the middle & the Unit was at the total opposite end of the bldg. and there was no luggage cart! We left our things in the car!!Upon entering the unit we were hit in the face with an offensive stench..it was run down..shabbily furnished & depressing. The unit indeed was ocean front with a beautiful view with the old/stained/dirty drapes pulled back on the slider leading out to the deck. We were absolutely flabbergasted by what we were seeing & smelling! After arguing with me the Mgt Company agreed to give us a full refund. We had no place to stay & headed home..costing us double the money to change our hotel reservations in Gainesville.
