The property was super clean with high end furnishings. There was lots of natural light & pretty views. Everything was in good working order and looked fresh. The location is close to North beach. We felt a few more mixing bowls, a big enough cookie sheet for pizza, and a few more kitchen items would have been helpful. But we probably cook more than most people do on vacay. The pool out back is not open yet but looks wonderful. However, it is located immediately behind the property with access for many guests, so I could see where noise could be an issue during the day for napping kiddos or adults.

El Rey 2 Tybee island

Overall impressed with the space. The only trouble we had was we weren’t able to use the internet out first night of our stay because the wrong username/password was communicated in our welcome email. But got it resolved the next day after communication with the host. Also the tvs were somewhat confusing to find something to watch. One other thing that I noticed upon our arrival was that the countertop on the island had not been wiped down/cleaned as well as it could have been.

Don’t forget your beach towels

This place was great! Loved the location and accommodations. The only feedback I have is that they did not have beach towels, I assumed they would and it did not mention to bring them in the very detailed check in email. There is also a pool onsite - literally in the backyard, but we were not allowed to use it. We had to drive to the shared pool. I get the concept of a shared pool but we had one on site and it didn’t make sense why we could not use it.

It was beautiful!

I really enjoyed my stay. But I was disappointed that pool was not opened at the location we were staying & the curtains for the door wasn’t put up. Other than those two hiccups it was nice.

Overall very satisfied with our stay. The pool access was inconvenient since there was a pool on the property we stayed at but were unable to use for an unknown reason. The carpet in the bedrooms were very hard and not easy to walk on. The location of the property was perfect.

Worked for the weekend

We didn’t love the long stairs to the entrance and wish the front door would have had a curtain. Our neighbors were loud and could hear their music late into the night Friday and Monday. It is a nice place with plenty of towels and kitchen items. It was nice to have a washer dryer on site and the beds were comfy.

Luxurious Living

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. This is a very lovely and quiet property. This property is a few miles from downtown Tybee, which was fine for us. We loved having our own space taking our time each morning to enjoy a leisure breakfast and plan our day. The view of the marsh was very nice and calming. Watching the ducks and other birds was enjoyable. I wish we had access, though, to the backyard to birdwatch. Pretty much everything was as stated in the description. A couple things I did not care for ~ only one washcloth and towel per person. Really? Who uses the same washcloth on their face every day And, no, I'm not packing extra with me as suggested in the information. A suggestion might be to pack facial cleansing wipes. I also wish I would have brought my own hairdryer. The one available was not very high powered. The rug in the kitchen has curled corners which is a trip hazard -- it should be replaced. The furniture in the living space is very comfortable, but is showing some wear. Perhaps it is time for it to be professionally cleaned. We want to thank Southern Belle properties for the wonderful space and clear communications before, during and after our stay.

Engagement celebration

My fiancée and I got engaged after Christmas and wanted to take an impromptu trip to celebrate and ring in the New Year. El Rey2 looked stunning on the listing, and did not disappoint at arrival. Extremely well appointed, clean, and comfortable with a location that was convenient for exploring Savannah and Tybee Island. We had a couple of reasons to reach out to the host and they were quick to respond and provide assistance. If we ever return to the area we’d be sure to book again.

Unit 2 Stay

Had a couple of problems getting in the front door, but folks were very responsive at helping. Could benefit from some lighting up the steps for arrival at night, as steps are dark. Would have LOVED to have been able to make use of the pool, but it was closed. Definitely would consider visit back though!!! :)

We had a great time on the island. I was a little disappointed about the pool situation having to go down the street to use the pool and then there’s no parking available. It would’ve been nice to be able to use the pool that was right on the property that we rented.

I have to thank the amazingly attentive team at Southern Belle Vacation Rentals! They are fabulous and I would stay at their properties again. This condo is gorgeously decorated and designed for an easeful vacation trip. I really enjoyed the never-ending view of the marsh out the large windows. The challenges were 1) getting to the pool which was about a mile away and with no free parking and had limited hours and 2) the noise from the unit adjacent to the master bedroom. We booked in part for the pool so it was a big downside to see a pool onsite that we could not use and have it be so difficult to get to the assigned pool. Hope others are able to plan better so yall can enjoy the pool and bring earplugs for the late night loud sounds from the neighboring unit. Even with those challenges, we loved our stay.

The listing is exactly what we expected. We did have an issue with the internet. They changed the username and password and never communicated it correctly after several attempts to resolve it. A maintenance guy came by and put the new username and password on one TV...

Beautiful accommodations

Really terrific place. Absolutely spotless with all necessary amenities. The birdwatcher in me really enjoyed the view! (Pack your binoculars) Probably the MOST COMFORTABLE bed I’ve ever slept on!! Convenient location, but a bit noisy….high traffic area. Also a little disappointing that we couldn’t access the beautiful backyard/pool/dock. Would absolutely return! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Clean and Cozy!

This rental was the perfect spot for our stay. The beds are COMFY and COZY! The living room chairs and couch are nice. The bathroom was clean with a nice shower. The kitchen had what we needed to cook some meals. The location was perfect. Gorgeous view of some marsh. Right across the street from a taco bar, delicious coffee shop with cute shops, and huckapoos pizza. You’re about a 15-20 minute walk to north beach and that was perfect. Loved Tybee!

Tybee Island

Everything was as advertised. Really clean location. Had all that was needed. The owners could maybe add a tall mirror to one of the bedrooms in the little alcove area. There was not a mirror in either bedroom. A 6’ could easily be added and stored out of the way. Beautifully decorated. Parking was great and when on Tybee that’s always a plus. Close to everything. You do need a car as the beach is a couple miles away.

Better than expected.

This property is understated. It is exactly as pictured inside. The main windows face a beautiful field with some water. Our first morning we were welcomed by a pelican and several other beautiful birds. I would definitely look to stay with This rental group again!
