We recently stayed at this property for a family beach vacation. The location is great, within easy walking distance to excellent local restaurants and quick access to the beach by climbing up and down dunes. The home was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the overall setup worked well for our needs. That said, the property is definitely dated and could benefit from some updates, including fresh paint and minor wall repairs. Since it's managed by a travel agency rather than a private owner, it lacks some of the thoughtful, personal touches you might expect in a more personalized vacation rental.Communication was a mixed bag. The rental agency provided excellent instructions and information in advance; everything was laid out and easy to follow. However, when I had a few follow-up questions during our stay and reached out via text, I never received a response. One important note for future renters: beach erosion in this area is a significant issue. The closest public beach access point on 2nd Street was closed during our stay, and it looks like 3rd Street may be next. During high tide, there’s little to no beach available directly at this location. If beach time is your top priority, you may want to research current conditions or plan to walk a bit farther.Overall, we had a good stay, but we recommend future guests be aware of the evolving beach access situation when booking.
