"I keep telling myself it’s cheap and cheerful, and it is to some degree.. but it has a 4* sign as you drive in, and this just isn’t the case. Rooms are run down and have needed upgrading for years. The swimming pool has been “ under maintenance” on the 3 occasions I have stayed over the years, so I just question whether it is ever open. The carpets needed hoovering in the hallways and our room. It’s a shame because the bar/ kitchen staff seem to work really hard with what they have and are...

"The only issue we had was there was no one to check us in, The contact numbers we had no one answered. We actually felt like we were trespassing. After driving around for an hour someone finally returned our call & messages and arranged to meet us. We had almost given up & were going to go home. Having said that we ended up having a really enjoyable stay :)"

"The staff, especially Reception and a young blonde-haired lady who had only been there about 3 weeks were exceptional. Having the bar & the restaurant on the top floor is a bit odd, but it is comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very poor as was the quality of the wine. "Toooooo hot in the room. No A/C available; only an old fan moving the hot air. Difficult to breathe. Very very little room, without table and chair to work (in my case) or to seat in a place different to the bed. I ask in reception to change my room; nothing else available. They took me a table and 1 chair, so I couldn't move in the room. Weak wi-fi line "
