Terrible experience I had to cancel the trip I did it 11 days before to the front desk in perfect time to cancel. I have the messages. And then they charged me for a complete stay not even offering other dates nothing. Many people tokd me Orchid House bad experiences...

Julio, es una pena que no te haya agradado el hotel y que por desgracia solamente experimentaras una sola noche con nosotros, dejando muy poco margen de tiempo para mejorar esa impresiòn. Esperamos se nos otorgue la oportunidad de cambiar esa experiencia, sobre todo por que justo en estos momentos se està trabajando activamente en mejoras a Orchid Beach House...

Bien en general
en general me parece un muy buen hotel a pie de playa, la ubicación es bonita también, sin embargo creo que ya en estos tiempos en los que las playas de tulum tienen demasiado sargazo ( literal no puedes meterte al mar) debería pensarse en manejar otras tarifas. Antes era atractivo estar Justo ahí contemplando en color turquesa pero ahora se torna triste la vista

Es una habitación muy linda con hambiente tranquilo y relajado. Estas literalmente en la playa entre las palmeras. Las habitaciones muy lindas y no desentonan con la naturaleza. La limpieza y la atención son excelentes. La playa no estaba linda porque labia exceso de algas. Las algas no son responsabilidad del hotel y son transitorias, pero de todas formas afectan tu estadía si aparecen justo cuando tú estás ahí alojado.

Encantador, pocas recámaras y atención personal
Pasamos 4 noches en este hotel y lo disfrutamos muchísimo. El hotel es muy chico, sólo tiene 7 habitaciones y aprovechan muy bien el terreno que tiene junto con la vegetación para crear un ambiente muy íntimo, tranquilo y privado. Esto es un gran beneficio porque en casi todo momento sientes que tienes el hotel para ti sólo. La atención del personal del hotel fue impecable, cuidando todos los detalles. Desde el servicio de desayuno a tu recámara, el regalo complementario de algunas botanas en el minibar, la decoración de las toallas al hacer la habitación, etc. Por último, la comida del restaurant nos sorprendió mucho. Todo lo que probamos fue de gran calidad y delicioso!

Hotel chiquito muy a gusto, staff muy amable y servicial, aunque por lo mismo que es chiquito a veces se tardaba un poco el servicio; la playa esta hermosa y no sientes a los hoteles cercanos, los camastros de la playa estan muy comodos y ricos; el agua del baño es salobre.

Wonderful property to stay at. Entire staff was very nice and polite. Especially Manuel. Manuel took great care of us and we thank him for that. So much is within walking distance. Food, pharmacy, kwik Mart, RV, scooter and bicycle rentals. And the view from the tub on the rooftop of my room was incredible

The staff was superb. Have us a lot of suggestions from dinners to site seeing. Alejandro was awesome. The room was outstanding just like the picture. Breakfast was very good. They also offer room service. Honestly I would come back to this hotel next time in Tulum.

My week at Orchid Beach House was magical, but there are pros and cons. Pros: - Right on a beautiful beach. - The view from my room was incredible. Sea-view rooms are limited, but all rooms are steps from the sand. - Comfortable bed, good shower (rustic = salty water). - The food and drinks were delicious: great tacos with fresh tortillas (fish, steak, and shrimp were my favorites), ceviches, aguachile rojo, salads, a burger, and great breakfast options. They take pride in their food. - The staff are friendly and accommodating (beach club staff, chefs, housekeeping, front desk) - The beach setup is quite good. It's quieter - no loud music, which I loved. - Great massage is available in the white tent on the beach next to the hotel. Lily was incredible. - Checkin and checkout were easy - I'm not sure what all the complaints are about; the staff takes reviews seriously and makes course corrections. Cons: - It's rustic - this was not a con for me, but it could be for some. You're in the jungle. - The rooms were nicely decorated; however, there were no drawers—only shelves—and my sliding door did not lock from the inside (I never felt unsafe). - It is easy to get taxis; however, the taxi mafia is in full force. It costs 500 pesos to go one mile; you could haggle and maybe get it for 400, but you need to factor this in. - The kitchen closes early: 6:30 pm. - Tulum is expensive - everywhere. - The new Tulum airport is easier, but still a 45 drive; Transport is costly.

AVOID THIS HOTEL !! Stayed 2 days and felt unsafe, was charge over $700 to my AMEX by checkout when the gentleman noticed i was in a hurry, asked for a refund and been waiting since, they don't even answer my WhatsApp messages anymore ( Paola who promised i would receive my refund within 5 days ) Please avoid it, they will steal and overcharge you, there's plenty of beautiful more safer hotels in Tulum.

Plus: - super nice boutique hotel with limited rooms - everyone is super friendly & accommodating! - beach out front is large and there’s very few people - food is great Cons: - while food is great, portions are small and it’s very pricey - It says it’s an adults only resort, but they allow children during the day (wasn’t an issue for us, but wanted to flag it in case anyone was looking for a ‘true’ adults only holiday)

Good location. Front desk was pleasant. Very basic amenities and without a pool. The security personnel were more focused on policing us from having relatively low-key fun than ensuring the resort was secure from the outside. Take note of the condition of your room so they don't try and charge you for damages later on.

The property was absolutely beautiful and exactly as pictured. The staff was very friendly and they were very attentive. We stayed at the Cambria suite and it was everything we expected. The only thing I wish they had was a long mirror inside the suite or a better mirror in the bathroom. The mirror in the bathroom is pretty high up and it was difficult for me to get ready. Other than that it was perfect.

Overall we enjoyed our trip. Things we liked: our room, the overall look of the hotel - very cute. The beach was clean and beach chairs well taken care of. The front desk staff was very helpful and quick to respond. However, there were things listed about the hotel online that were not true. The hotel lists as an adults only venue; however, there were children staying there during our stay. Also, the website said a continental breakfast was included - it was not. The website says mini-fridge with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages - there were no snacks and any beverages you took you were charged for. I feel like the online listing should be updated to accurately reflect their current practice. We did not find that the service at the beach club was very friendly or timely. Also, the hours they were open for food/drink changed daily and it was difficult to plan meals not knowing when they would be serving.

The beach club is flexible with family and pet-friendly but the entire hotel is for adults only and that's why you probably saw children over the beach area. Easy walk to beach clubs etc. Negatives: staff were quite pushy with food and drinks (which were really overpriced), tip was added to absolutely everything - even per night on our bill when we checked out, and there was no effort made to clear the seaweed, which other hotels had done further along.

Everything was amazing! The staff was so friendly and accommodating to everything we needed. It is a beautiful property!

We stayed for 5 nights in the Cambria suite. Our room was cleaned daily, staff was attentive, food and drinks were very good, and fairy priced. If you are looking for an authentic experience this is the place for you. The water in the shower is a bit salty but you quickly get used to that. Location wise this property is close enough to all of the beach clubs but far enough that the music doesn’t disturb during the night. We thank you for your hospitality and for having security during the night by the beach entrance and the main street.
