Excellent Property for a long Ski Weekend

Nice house, nice property, really well run. All around great. Big back yard for snow play and really easy location for truckee shopping and several ski areas.

Poor communication

Half of our party never actually made it up because of a winter storm. In our communication with the property managers leading up to the trip, they took a very long time to respond. I ended up calling and waiting on hold for 20+ minutes on 2 different occasions because they were so slow in email response and I never actually received responses to multiple of my queries. For those that made it up to the property for 1 of the 2 nights we booked, they were happy to find the driveway shoveled despite the storm. The dryer wasn't working and had damp towels left in it by previous renters. That meant there weren't enough towels for showers. There were also not enough kitchen towels. There was a fun arcade game at the property but it seemed like it required putting an endless supply of quarters in. They were not very helpful, as per their policy, with the fact that we couldn't drive up for 2 of the 3 nights and so we lost our money for those nights. Maybe if we had scheduled to go up on a weekend when it wasn't storming, the stay would have been better. But we couldn't really plan around that.

Quiet, well-equipped home

Excellent place to stay for 5 days. Clean, nicely furnished and comfortable. Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to outdoor activities. Just a few minutes from great trailheads and Donner lake. Lots of kid-friendly games in the home and in the garage. We didn’t have any kids, but enjoyed playing Pac-Man, ping-ping and basketball. We would stay again.

Lovely cabin but some cleaning issues

The cabin is well maintained and has everything you need. Unfortunately one of the beds was left with dirty blood stained sheets and there was pet hair on all of the bedding and floors despite being a no pets property. The helpline was efficient although when cleaner finally came on our second day they only changed one bed, floors remained “hairy”. The property manager hasn’t responded to my email. I doubt this problem will reoccur for others so I would recommend the cabin; I would love to hear from the property manager though.

Great rental for families and super close to Tahoe Donner and Truckee!

This cabin is great for families. The loft has games and a tv to entertain children. The location is close to Tahoe Donner ski hill and amenities and close to Truckee. Great location for a family ski trip!

Clean, quiet. A pretty nice experience!

The vacation house is very family friendly. Kids can watch movies, play cards, and mini billiard to play. It is clean and the master bathroom is upgraded. We enjoyed our stay there.

Great location!

I love staying in Tahoe Donner. This was a nice property for my family. The bathrooms have been beautifully updated and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the games and amenities. Overall a great stay!

Can’t put into words how much we enjoyed this rental home! Everything was just great. The owner has everything you could ever possibly need there. It’s clean and organized and so cute!! Our kids loved all the fun games and extras. We loved eating out on the deck and just relaxing. We can’t wait to go back again!

Great place for family fun & relaxation!!

My family & I stayed here for a couple days during spring break. We had a great time, the accommodations were excellent, the scenery was beautiful (especially since it snowed) and the location was perfect. We were able to take day trips to Tahoe, Reno & Virginia City & had a great experience. We definitely will be returning!

Winter Wonderland

Our stay was enjoyable. There were three couples and we were very comfortable. The three bedrooms worked out great. The kitchen could use a new set of cooking pans, specifically an egg pan. The BBQ worked great with plenty of BBQ tools. The location was near everything you could need, yet far away enough it was quiet. There was plenty of parking in the drive way. We had three cars. The fireplace kept the home quite toasty. We really had a great time playing poker and the large table. Good times!

Great Location!

So cozy!! Our stay here was perfect! Very clean and had everything we needed! Very nice and quiet location.within minutes to skiing and downtown Truckee. We couldn’t have picked a better spot! We will definitely be back!

Very nice, lots of natural light, uncluttered, comfortable beds, nice sheets and towels . Suggestions: heater in master bath. Better kitchen knives or a cheapo sharpening tool. Had a lovely time and plan to return in the future.

Needs some serious TLC and better property management

This house is in need of some attention. The bathrooms have been newly redone, which was great, but other parts of the house really need repair. The first issue we encountered was the code for the lock box code not working, which required a call to the property management company for the "back-up code." Although the interior doors in the house appear to have been recently replaced, whoever installed them did a terrible job. The door between the loft area and the bathroom did not close properly and other doors were similarly mis-hung. The wall rack in the mud room that's supposed to hold skis was not installed properly and had pulled out of the wall. The kitchen floor was installed so poorly that even the rug that attempts to hide the error can't cover it up, and the floor is lifting up in spots. The downstairs is VERY poorly lit - there are no ceiling lights and the few lamps that are there had 40 watt bulbs that made it impossible to read or play games at night. While the house was generally clean, the cleaners somehow forgot to clean the downstairs toilet - gross. When we called the property management company about the issues, they basically said they were totally backed up with house repairs, which essentially confirmed that no one is effectively monitorIng the state of the homes. It should not fully be up to the guests to report issues.

Cozy and comfortable with all the amenities keep the whole family happy!

We went up for the weekend with another family and we had a great time! The cabin was so relaxing! The upstairs tv area was stocked with movies, and there was another living room downstairs, so the grownup'a could relax! Thank you for a great weekend!
