The security guard threaten to call the cops on me because I parked in the wrong place. Instructions for parking were very unclear; In fact, I was told not to park exactly where I was supposed to park according to the security guard. The owner was rude and obnoxious, and expected me to pay a fine which was completely unreasonable. I recommend that no one ever stay at this hosts condo. I ended up leaving two days early because of that experience. It was awful and scary.

As Advertised

I've stayed in a couple different places in Gaviotas. This one is priced appropriately and would make a good first place to stay if you want to get the lay of the land without being on the hook for a bunch of money. The reviews are pretty much what you get. It can be a little noisy from the road but that's what tequila is for. All the units on that side all have the same drawbacks - noise, stairs etc. but it is what it is and Gaviotas is such a great place to stay. This is a really affordable unit for 2 people with what you need to have a great Mexican getaway. We had no problems or issues. All good. Get your butts to Mexico and enjoy!

I have actually already stayed at this property again cuz we enjoyed it so much! It is a beautiful apartment and is spotlessly clean. Such a gorgeous view from the balcony. I wont be surprised if i stay here a third time!

A relaxing surf getaway!

My husband and I were celebrating our ten year anniversary, and this oasis was just what we needed to properly enjoy! The host even kindly let us add an additional night to the stay, as we were not ready to leave after two nights. You can't go wrong with this charming condo with ocean views!

Great View, Super Clean

We stayed in apartment #1 on the top floor and it was great. No one was staying on the first floor so I can't say if it gets loud when another party stays there. The view was amazing and worth every penny. We will defiantly consider staying here again.

Great value!

This place had a beautiful view, was spacious, clean, and close to the ocean and the heated pool. Generally great value! Unfortunately, the internet stopped working after the first day we were there which meant my husband and I couldn’t do the work we had planned to do for half the week. We also couldn’t watch tv. The house is missing some basic items like trash bags, a cutting board, knives to cut fruits and vegetables etc.

Everything was great but it was very complicated getting into the property. Make sure you ask the host for an entry form before arriving. We weren’t allowed in without it and host never answered me back after emailing. We had to figure everything out on our own. Very stressful

Property was super clean and beautifully organized. Loved the view from my living room. Gated and safe for couples or families. Didn’t get to explore as much as I was only there for the 3day bajafest event in Rosarito but we shall return soon.

Great condo & great location

My wife and I stayed here 8/7/22-8/12/22 & really enjoyed it. Mid week $125/night. Very clean and Las Gaviotas has nice amenities. Rick was responsive and we didn’t have any issues. Some things could be better but for Mexico it exceeded our expectations. The location of Gaviotas was perfect for us as we could drive to Puerto Nuevo in about 5 min. They’ve built a Calimax Supermarket in Puerto Nuevo. We got groceries whenever we needed them. Gaviotas is a beautiful, gated community with tennis & pickleball court, big pool and hot tub next to the ocean. It is super safe as there are always security guards patrolling the property. It’s very quiet. I wouldn’t suggest Gaviotas if you are coming down to rage past 10pm. The private beach is amazing and we spent a couple of nights watching the beautiful sunsets. There is a great right surf break right in front of the pool for longboarding. It was great being on the second floor as we had a perfect ocean view from the patio. This unit is on the last row closest to the main highway. Having the backdoor open at night is not recommended b/c traffic. There are 97 steps to the pool from this 2nd story condo. The beach has umbrellas & a BBQ with one or two tables. The internet went out 2 times. Rick tried to help but he didn’t know where the router was. I used my phone as a mobile hotspot when it was down. No prob. The TV in the bedroom only had two Mexican stations on it so we never used it. Points of interest We ate lobster at Poseidon in Puerto Nuevo which is at the end of the main street and to the right and right on the water. $18 for the house special which is 3 lobsters with fixings. This special always seems to be available. Rueben’s is a 3 min drive south from Gaviotas and was very good as well. It’s on the nicer side and dinner for two with a couple of glasses of wine and beer cost around $50 US and well worth it. Happy Hour is a whole in the wall bar/restaurant we visited a couple of times because of the great ex-pats. Food is supposed to be good too. It’s in between Gaviotas and Puerto Nuevo on the ocean side of the highway. Ensenada is about a 45 min drive south. Hussongs is a mainstay and worth a visit but their prices have gone way up. $10 for 2 tiny margaritas. Nothing to write home about. Papas & Beer is very loud whistles, big weak drinks and ok food. Great place, Carnitas, on the northern end of Rosarito a 15min drive north from Gaviotas. Prices are great and the carnitas are amazing.

We loved staying at La Casa de Corky! Perfect location for checking the waves and an easy walk down to the beach. Couch and bed were especially cozy. Highly recommend.

Nice Short or Long Stay Getaway

Beautiful views and comfortable house. Very clean. Adequately stocked. Maybe not for light sleepers due to proximity to the highway. Closer access to the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Good security on the complex.

Awesome Getaway

This is our second time staying at this property and it felt like coming back to our own vacation home. The place is very clean, well stocked, and has a beautiful view of the ocean. The Los Gaviotis community is also wonderful…especially because it has a pickleball court!! The community is beautifully maintained and has its own beach. Can’t wait to return!
