Not What We Expected
We left a day early due to numerous issues. I want to start by saying the host did waive the dog fee. Our doodle does not shed and is very clean. The biggest issues during our stay were: the furnace making loud noises 4-5 times an hour all day and night, When I asked the host about the noise she told me it was a part that needed replacing in the furnace, and they did not have a chance to fix it between tenants. That noise was unacceptable.The safety of the stairs (both stone steps down to the water and steps off of the deck were loose and felt unsafe), and a lot of the chairs being broken or feeling unstable (chaise lounges by water, indoor chairs in living room, blue chairs on the deck). I was also cut by a finishing nail sticking out of the woodwork (I found several more not hammered into wood after that.) in the cubby to the closet with the bunk beds.The barbecue is also rotted out and the bottom dropped to the ground when we tried to use it (and we only used it once).The sinks were clogged and did not drain efficiently. We were disappointed that there was not easy water access for swimming or water activities.The view is beautiful but it was difficult to sleep due to noise and to enjoy our time there with these issues and hard to stay here as a family with our granddaughter and pregnant daughter. These were the largest issues with our stay.
