Das Resort wurde extra wegen des Schwimmingpool gebucht. Der Pool konnte in den 3 Tagen unseres Aufenthalt nicht benutzt werden..Der Pool war dreckig, mit Algen versehen, nur halb gefüllt mit Wasser. Baustelle am Pool. Wir wurden immer wieder vertröstet. Heute abend ist alles o.k. Der Monteur kommt gleich. Wird gleich gereinigt.......usw. dem war aber nicht so.

Worst stay ever for new year.

This trip was with family, however it turns out to be worst trip ever during new year time. After paying that much,,, there was nothing as like even 1 star resort. Rooms were old and fixtures were coming out. Bathrooms were not good. Shower panels were rusted,. Swimming pool was not cleaned. No one,, including other guests was able to use pools. Even giving the feedback, it was not done.. Same views were expressed by most of the guests.This was really disappointing.

Det var långt till stan och servicen var inte bra

Tyvärr hade vi en väldigt dålig upplevelse av detta hotell. Vi hade förbokat taxi från flyget men dom glömde bort oss. Vi kände oss alltid besvärliga när vi skulle beställa mat, då vi upplevde att det var väldigt små portioner och vi fick känna oss omständiga som ville ha mer. När vi bad om att få tvätta våra kläder så dröjde det flera dagar innan vi fick kläderna och när vi väl fick dom var dom fortfarande smutsiga! Det var verkligen ingen rolig upplevelse.Skulle absolut inte rekommendera detta hotell.

En pärla för den som vill ha total avkoppling! Här finns inget annat i närheten. Stranden är stor och används av hotellgäster och lokala fiskare. Maten är jättegod och Annie och Matthew tar så fin hand om sina gäster. Många gäster stannar flera veckor och får behandlingar. Liselotte

Avoid this worst hotel ever!

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.Nothing is actually there what is stated in the hotel description.We had booked and prepaid delight deluxe room that was supposed to be the best room in the hotel.The hotel actually does not deserve to be called hotel a,it is more like a very bad homestay.The room was very dirty,I cleaned the table myself and the paper turned dark brown.The pillows and sheets smelled of mold.All kinds of insects crawling in room:ants,cockroaches,spiders etc.Gekos as well.The bathroom was the worst:hole in the wall,cockroaches running towels with stains and smelling.The room was described as having ocean view - there are lots of palm trees that actually block the view.TV has only Indian channels, all international channels are blocked.The food that they provided was disgusting, the worst food we had in India.The breakfast food was so disgusting to look at that we skipped the tasting part.Wifi is hardly working only in the lobby,and to call the reception area a lobby is of course a big overstatement.It is dirty, dusty, full of mosquitoes.The swimming pool has probably never been cleaned.The tiles were very dirty and we never stepped in.Water was dirty as well,insects,dust,leaves.Only 4 sunbeds available,wooden,no towels or mattresses provided.Ayurveda procedures’ premises looked disgusting,so did not want to try.I wanted to leave the next morning and I did.Never got any invoice upon leaving.Customer service non-existent.

Beautiful beach

A overall OK resort. The room was very simple and looked dirty as Indian budget rooms often do. The bed was very hard and we had trouble sleeping because of it. The food was really bad. However the location was beautiful, on an miles long empty beach. The most beautiful beach I have ever been on. The pool area was nice and the pool was clean. If you are used to Indian budget hotels then you will be very comfortable but do not expect anything of European standard. I think it was a bit expensive considering the standard of the hotel, but it is very difficult to find decent budget beach resorts in Kerala.

Quite Keralan Beach Hotel

One of the few hotels right on the beach with a/c and a pool. It is the only hotel within a couple of Km, so no other tourists. It is a Keralan hotel and not an Internation Hotel. Therefore hard matresses and basic facilities. But if you need something ask, and they may well be able to help you e.g. the room is not automatically cleaned every day, but if you ask, they'll do it. Food does take a while to be prepared since it is cooked fresh, so order a couple of hours before, rather than sit at the table and wait. The included breakfast was fresh fruit idli or puri (on alternate days), sombal, boiled egg, dalia (wheat based porridge), toast, juice, tea and coffee. There were other variations on some days. And again other types of eggs were available if you asked. The pool did not look clean the first day, but actually when you are in it is fine. The water did become clearer over the next few days. there is some shade from the palms so you could stay in the pool even in the heat. There is a slope down from the pool to the beach, with a lovely shaded area under the palms. There is a beach side dining area, and they can bring food down for you. The beach itself is great. Fishermen hauling in the nets first thing in the morning. It is steeply sloping and there are big waves at times, so be careful. There is a shop within 20m where you can get cold drinks, water, crisps and snacks. A 3 wheeler ride will get you to Kazhakkoottam, with a lot more shops and restaurants.

Fint hotell på ett lungt område

Fint hotell på en vacker öde strand. Bra läge ca 30 min utanför Trivandrum i en lugn by. Stannade på hotellet i 4 nätter och var mycket nöjd- personalen är fantastisk och hjälpsam och lagar god mat till frukost, lunch och middag. Wifi fungerade 2 dagar av 4. Hotellet erbjuder transport från/till flygplatsen för 800 rs. Det finns en pool, men som ung kvinna kännde jag mig inte riktigt bekväm med att vistas i badkläder vid poolen eller på stranden, då hotellet ligger på ett område där det annats inte finns mycket andra turister. Det finns två stora trädgård nära hotellet, fråga peronalen så hjälper de dig att hitta dem. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell till alla som önskar sig hitta ett avslapnande och välkommande ställe mitt i vacker natur!

Good resort, right on a village beach. No tourist crowds. Sea-view rooms best. Food not for Indian taste, bland. Owners very friendly & helpful.

Beautiful beach

But watch out for broken vodka bottles lurking in the sand. Nice taste of local fishermen's life but the property seems to be run more as a home stay then a hotel. Staff is nice and helpful enough but the management seems to be more interested in selling tours and Ayurvedic procedures then keeping up the property. Come only if you want to escape completely and don't want to go to store,go for a beer or to restaurant for a duration of your stay

Bedrövligt

Det är ett hus med ett fåtal rum, inget hotell. Området var det mest tragiska jag någonsin sett. "Hotellet" låg i ett område som är en ren misär och bland folk som lever långt under värdiga förhållanden. Runt om hotellet finns halvfärdiga hus och ruiner. Det enda som var positivt var närheten till stranden men under monsunperioden avråds man från att gå dit. Det fanns ingenting på hotellet, inte ens en karta över området.

Pure tranquility

Had a great stay, small fishing village right by the beach. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Visited during monsoon season and were the only guests, the owner Matthew drove us everywhere we wanted to go. Technopark & Technocity are only minutes away, highly recommend this if you're visiting those - much preferable over the city. Facilities are basic but clean and functional, food was excellent. It's remote and not much else to do around, but if you're looking to relax - this is THE spot! Would stay again:-)

Amazing experience

A must see place. You have to try it trust me even if you stay for two nights. You are in the middle of nowhere, a fishermen village,people are very friendly and nice. The hotel is new, you have a nice swimming pool facing the ocean, the owner and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean and you have plenty of TV channels. The food is amazing: how often do you eat fish that has been caught by fishermen just in front of your eyes...very pleasant experience. We were buying the fish on the shoreline, for less than 5 dollars, you have more than 2 kilos. We gave it to the people at the hotel and they cook it for us...Nice place, definitely I will go back. I don't have to mention here that the sea is amazing (very clear water). Also you can have beer in the hotel, but it would be better if you bring your own booze.

Could have been much better

The hotel is at an exquisite location overlooking the ocean. U wake up in the morning and u find the ocean staring at u from within the coconut trees. The stay at the Hotel was good, but it could have been much better. The staff was very very courteous, but we had to ask for everything ourselves. The linen wasn't as clean and there wasn't anyone to clean the rooms daily. Getting hot water was a problem. The location is sodeep inside that its really difficult if u r going there for the first time. Thanks to the lady from the hotel who directed us. The resort is 4km inside from the main road and its difficult to get autos or buses. Its better u have your own vehicle. The swimming pool still seems to be under renovation. The entire hotel was under renovation when we went. It is a little far from Kovalam, but is centrally located if u want to go one day to Varkala & one day to Kovalam. If u want to spend your entire time in Kovalam, this might not be a very preferred location.

Relaxing Putentope

This is the hotel for those who like quiet & relaxing beach. Don't expect much amenities except the basics. If you need transportation for rental, go to the junction and asked those youngsters for Kieran. Mathew was very accomodating to picked us up at 1am at airport. it is truly relaxing here.
