"Made to feel very welcome from arrival through to departure. Everything was brilliant. Lovely spacious room , good nights sleep. Breakfast was really fresh and great quality with plenty of choices. Excellent evening meal were enjoyed with amazing view across to fort.
Advice and tour particularly the camel trip was brilliant and we really enjoyed the trip arranged for us by the hotel and riding camels in the desert and meeting fellow travellers.

"The staff here are amazing. Nice enough to send someone to the train station at 4 am to pick me up and give me a room to nap for a bit even before my official check in time. Restaurant is nice too with incredible views of the fort.

"The owner of the hotel was very kind and very helpful his service was excellent. He also spoke excellent spanish. He is very trust worthy and happy to help their guests. The breakfast was very good and it is served at the top floor with an excellent view of the fortress. The Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the city and fortress. "Loved my stay at here—completely overdelivered for the price. New property, beautifully maintained. Fantastic location, a 5 minute walk from the fort entrance. Gorgeous rooftop area with the best views in town. Lovely, attentive staff. Helped me upgrade easily when a room became available. They don’t have a traditional restaurant, but the food they had was very good. Only quibble was that the pool wasn’t quite clean enough to swim in. Otherwise, great stay."

"The Marina Mahal is a great value option close to the centre of Jaisalmer. Akbar and Marina are a delightful Indian/New Zealand couple who are extremely hospitable and who do everything to make your stay memorable. They can arrange a brilliant trip into the desert. The vegetarian food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the views are stunning. Rooms are comfortable with AC, reliable hot water and free WiFi and the whole place exudes local atmosphere. "This place is just lovely, the owner is very kind and knowledgable, and they can arrange any tours. I enjoyed the desert safari, and you can ride in the jeep if you don't want to ride the camels. They offer pickup and drop off from the train station, which is amazing. The rooms are large and comfortable, and there is a nice rooftop cafe and lounge, which is great for meeting other travelers.
