Amazing home, great spaces to relax, play pool, have a swim in the awesome pool, kitchen had everything you needed and rooms were amazing and the beds were very comfortable. The views of the property were amazing, such a wonderful property to stay at.

Beautiful house.

The property was a beautiful huge house with everything we needed. However, my family and I booked this house with intentions of having a family lunch celebrations for my 21st. We booked this property to be closer to other family members and to host the lunch (when I booked I put that in the description). The day before we were due to check in the host asked me how many visitors we planned to have over. We were honest and told her 10-15 (I am 1 of 6 children, 2 of my sisters have kids and partners and then add on all the kids partners, grandparents and aunty’s & uncles not hard to exceed 14ppl). The host then informed me we are not aloud more than 14ppl at the property at 1 time and her neighbours will inform her if we do and we would be kicked out. I asked what my rights were for a refund because she claimed that the listing states that before booking, it doesn’t. It states that the house sleeps 14, not that you cannot exceed that number at any time. So my family & I were left with nowhere to host our lunch that was in planning for months, as you can imagine how much expenses were put towards it me and my family were very upset and wanted to cancel the booking. We weren’t even aloud a partial refund, so we had to loose all of our money towards everything else we payed for and have lunch at the local pub instead. I get not wanting damage to the property and being scared of parties but the amount we paid for bond/ the house, we thought it was pretty silly.

Beautiful and comfy but worn out and inadequate kitchen

The house is large and lovely, has plenty of space to relax and achieve zen.... until you want to cook. The house sleeps upto 15 people but you couldn't cook or reheat a meal for that many people despite the kitchen being large and having a 900mm induction cooktop. All cookware but 2 frypans were not suitable for induction and they were small. The managing agent knew there was an issue but when I brought this to their attention they referred me to the operation manual and when they did organise the cleaner to bring new pots they brought the exact same cheap as Kmart pots and pans. So for our long weekend (with 8 people) we had to make do with a portable stove and slow cooker to reheat food. The bbq was not an option because it was completely rusted. The outdoor area is supposed to be completely screened but is missing big chunks, the retractable fly screen door was hanging, the pool table surface is ripped, the pool is cold all year round, some of the pool decking is rotten and the master bed is very firm. After we arrived I found out my sister had also stayed here earlier in the year and also had troubles particularly with the air-con not working in the middle of summer. Her group were forced to go buy their own fans to stay cool.
The cows often escape their paddocks and will retreat to the house yard. They are quite nice and will be a friendly morning alarm but don't approach them and close the gate if you don't want them in.
The Kmart pots that are not suitable for the induction cook top. BYO pots and pans.

Property was good - some parts of the process were painful

Painful trying to go through the onerous checks and booking process. Communication with property managers I found painful, I want simplicity not to be given the third degree over small details. No visitors for a property that large is ridiculous. There was no alcohol consumed but we would have liked to be able to invite a close friend over who was nearby. This was sadly against the rules. Also the 2 car rule was absolutely absurd, unreasonable and unnecessary. The property is on average!! We booked for 14 people. Obviously there needs to be more than 2 vehicles for that many people. All of these things are so ridiculous I'm considering not using Stayz anymore

Great family holiday spot!

We loved staying in this house. It was perfect for our family of 6 and my parents. Great amenities and so much space. Were certainly quite a few broken things when we arrive such as the back screen door, the hot tub was empty with stagnant water in it, cuts in the felt of the pool table and broken screens in the deck area. But these were not things that affected our stay so we weren’t concerned. With some TLC this house could be amazing, but we still had a great time anyway. The cows in the backyard were also a great element that the kids loved so much! Thanks for an amazing weekend away for our family! Hope to be able to stay again soon.
