    Cozy and convenient, Dollar Hill II # 49 is your next favorite Tahoe getaway! Located on the edge of downtown Tahoe City, you have quick access to great dining, shopping, and year-round activities! Seasonal access to pool, tennis, and club house.

    Nicely updated unit with wood-burning fireplace, fully-equipped kitchen, living and dining area on the main level with sunny deck, gas grill (available in summer). Desk area with wifi for those who can't leave work behind.

    Bedroom on the main level with Queen bed and ensuite 3/4 bathroom (shower only, no tub).

    Lofted bedroom upstairs with Queen bed and full bath. Laundry facilities by the entry area.

    Parking is limited to 2 spaces.

    - None of our properties have AC unless mentioned elsewhere
    - Winter access: Chains or snow tires are often required in winter
    - BBQs (propane) are not provided during winter (November–Memorial Day). Charcoal grills are banned in our area.
    - Firewood is not supplied during the summer months (Memorial Day through October)
    - Shampoo/conditioner/bodywash are not included
    - Most have supplies like flour, sugar, salt & spices, but these are not guaranteed items
    - We do not provide additional towels for beach use and encourage renters to bring them for summer stays
    - Placer County STR rules: The county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing.
    Some Highlights include: Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time. Street parking is prohibited year-round.

We love Lake Tahoe

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There is a sign in the kitchen that says, “OK, this is not Cabin Sweet Cabin! Get over it. This condo is in a nice place close Tahoe City. It’s quiet, and has nice amenities. It is the best stocked rental we’ve ever stayed in as far as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, foil, etc. everything is there. There are 2 sets of clean towels in each bathroom. There is a washer and dryer. However, the one load we washed and dried took a very long time to dry and kind of smelled funny after. My husband said I have a delicate sniffer. It has a nice, clean BBQ we used twice. I would suggest the following to make it betterStorage space for food items. Everyplace is filled with dishes or kitchen gadgets. A dresser for clothes. Clean the blinds. They need it, badly!Supply stand alone fans. Put a retractable screen on the door to the deck so it can be opened for ventilation and keep misquotes out. Lastly, a wall mounted A/C unit for comfort. I doubt this will ever happen. Just throwing it out. We knew there was no A/C before we booked.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We like the location and have stayed in the unit several years ago. The Dollar Hill property is maintained nicely and meets our needs. While the unit was clean and served our needs, it may be time for the owner to consider an update. Replace deck boards, railing and door to the deck, install new windows for energy efficiency and misc. interior trim. Not being harsh here, just trying to improve quality of guest experience and improve rental potential and quality. We had a good time in Tahoe.

A little disappointing

Overall the property was just OK. A non heating microwave, a couple of small appliances that didn’t work very well, a dishwasher without detergent so we questioned whether it could be used, and two electric receptacles that worked only sometimes. The bedroom is very small and the loft bedroom has very steep, narrow stairs leading to it. Once you’re up there the area is fine. The living room is quite comfortable.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at the Condo. It is a very comfortable place in a great location. Had a little issue with the downstairs toilet, but was able to fix it with a few adjustments. The beds are comfortable and it was very clean! The complex is quiet, I would definitely recommend it to others!

Lovely stay and great location

The home done additions are appreciated and dated. The updated amenities of washer/ dryer are great. The summer nights get hot and fans would be an added bonus. All in all time well spent.

Would Not Stay Here Again

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very disappointing. The picture of the living/family room is quite deceiving. Instead of being well lit, it is actually quite dark, not very inviting. Also, when I arrived at the condo., I noticed that the workers had all kinds of tiles thrown about in front of the property, it was a mess. The property also had siding that was peeling off, that was being worked on. Finally, when I arrived back at the condo. around 6PM after a day on the Lake, the workers were fixing the siding and banging it into place. This went on for about 45 minutes. They came right up to the window where I was staying. All of this work should have been done before the condo. was rented.

Not worth the cost

Sadly I was disappointed with the cost (after all the fees) for the property. We paid a hefty cleaning fee on top of a Covid cleaning fee yet we had to wash the dishes and empty the trash. The table on the outdoor patio where we wanted to enjoy our dinners was covered in tree dirt/sap. We had to clean the table to use it but paid a cleaning fee?? The location was perfect and the amenities were nice to have (pool and tennis court) but for what we paid to stay there we will use a hotel in the future

Cozy cabin

Very Poor Experience

We were very unhappy with this home for several reasons. It was very run down, the lighting was poor, the loft had a big gap which was dangerous for kids, and I had to jump off the deck to get out because the lock was stuck on the inside of the front door. To top it off we couldn’t sleep because of some loud neighbors and the sprinklers going off at 4 am. We decided to book another place and ate the sunk costs to save our trip.

Nice little rental for our 3 night stay

The location was great - just outside of Tahoe City which allowed us to avoid the summer weekend stop-and-go traffic. While it is a bit smaller than appears in the pictures, it worked out perfect for our little family of 3. It's a typical older Tahoe condo, but nicely maintained. Pros: Good location, well stocked kitchen, nice having 2 bathrooms, clean, close to parking, enjoyed the hot tub, comfortable beds. Cons: Unable to get the TV/remotes to work, only a couple hangers in the closet, parking permits that are required were nowhere to be found, needed to wash a couple utensils before using. Overall, I would stay here again. The rental agent was helpful with the parking issue noted above. Super easy getting in and out of the complex and the condo.

Exactly what we needed

We were participating in the spartan race weekend nearby at squaw. This place was perfect. Cozy and close by. Would stay here again.
