Fogo @ Ethel & Ode’s

This gorgeous seaside escape is an adults only retreat for singles or couples wanting to escape from the world. Tucked away on the E&O property, Fogo offers absolute waterfront views and privacy. Equipped with kitchen, lounge, ensuite and its own private deck - you will never want to leave!

Tesla charger is available by prior arrangement.

Fogo is a perfect little hideaway for singles or couples featuring everything you need.

Fogo is located on the same property as Ethel & Ode's Beach House however each accommodation has its own private and defined areas. Access to Fogo, and from Fogo to Jibbon Beach public entrance is via Neil Street. Fogo also offers direct rocks access and uninterrupted water views.

PLease note that Fogo is only for guests who are mobile and able to navigate stairs to the property. If you are unable to navigate stairs, Bunkie or George on the property will be a better option for you.

Access the property from Neil street, continue down the main path towards the house. At the bottom of the stairs take a left and continue down the side of the main house to Fogo's private entrance. Proceed down the stairs amd the lock box is located on the right, at the bottom of the Fogo stairs for self check in.

Fogo itself and its private deck are completely yours. Please do however respect other guests privacy when moving through the property to access Fogo.

Fogo's deck opens directly onto the rocks and straight out to the ocean. Leaving the property from the street, you are mere steps away from Jibbon Beach entrance.

Fogo is just one hour from Sydney situated in beautiful Bundeena. Drive through the Royal National Park or take the ferry from Cronulla, followed by a short ten minute walk from the wharf.



We take climate change seriously and try to lighten our load on the earth at Bundeena. Fogo has green kitchen bags that are compostable and we welcome you filling them with raw fruit and vegetables, coffee (our pods are compostable), tea leaves, along with brown matter such as nut shells, tea bags, dead leaves, small twigs, hay, straw, wood chips, cardboard, newspaper, and cotton rags. Never place cooked food, dairy products, meat, fish bones, or fat in our compost bin, as these substances produce odors that can lure pests. Other food waste can be placed in the council red bin. We also encourage you not to bring single use plastic water bottles on site as we have refillable water bottles for your use while you stay.

Our bathrooms run on pumps and connect to septic. Our toilet paper is recycled bamboo and is the only products the septic can take safely. Disposal of anything else such as sanitary products, makeup or baby wipes may cause blockage which will impact your stay and necessitate expensive repairs for which guests will be charged.

Our team attend the property from time to time to attend bins and garden maintenance. They will say hello if they see you but will absolutely respect your privacy.

If you have dogs that need their own holiday; while we cannot accommodate them, we recommend Hanrob Pet Hotel in Heathcote which is only a short diversion on your way to Ethel & Ode's.
