The pros: house is in a nice location and has easy access to public transport. House is quaint and full of character and clean. We also appreciated the split systems in the bedrooms.The downsides for our personal circumstances (and these wouldn't be issues for everyone) was that we had young children and the stairs were steep, narrow and a bit slippy and also attractive to our toddler so we couldn't relax. The mattresses are budget mattresses and by night 3 I was struggling. Just also keep in mind there is no toilet upstairs. Next door did party late into the night on one of the nights which may be because of the time of year! Parking was also a game of luck due to being right next to a school but we managed to get a spot nearby which was great. This house would be great for families with older children.

Great little terrace house in Paddington with space to cook, sit in the courtyard with the beautiful jasmine flowers or walk down to the pub. Space was clean and had a decently appointed kitchen. Rooms were clean and comfy. Only issue was parking - for those driving from interstate, the entire street and all surrounding streets are 2 hr parking. We got lucky and were able to park in front of the school for the weekend, but had to be careful for the friday and monday. Otherwise a great stay.

Fabulous location, authentic and comfortable Sydney terrace

The house was comfortably furnished providing everything a traveler needs. It’s in a great location with lovely restaurants, retail and easy access to the CBD and Eastern suburbs, etc. The hosts are very accommodating and helpful.I loved that the renovations kept true to the original architecture. I had fond memories from the 70’s and 80’s of my aunt and uncles terrace in Edgecliff. I would definitely stayz there on future visits.

Perfect location

A friend and I spent a weekend here and it was perfect. Paddington has much to offer and is close to shops, transport and walking. The house is very cute and right next door to a school so quiet after work. The stairs are very steep so not suitable if you have mobility issues. The kitchen was well stocked and there is a laundry and outdoor area. We ate out close by each night so didn’t cook but we could have ! It was very easy to get to from the airport- train and bus. Transport into the city very easy by bus. Would definitely stay again

Well located but lacking comfort

A typical short term rental where nothing matches and everything feels thrown together. The house makes a lot of creaks as you move around. It’s impossible to move up or down the stairs quietly. The bathroom was tiny as you expect for this type of property but there was nowhere to keep your stuff in there, we had wash bags lined up on the washing machine outside. In the bedroom, the metal frame bed and the mattress where we found ourselves rolled towards each other by the dip in the middle were a nightmare. The lounge sofa and chairs that were all uncomfortable. It was very difficult to properly relax at all. The positive is the location. Buses outside to get around the city. If I was returning to Sydney I would stay again but only if there weren’t any other reasonable alternatives.

Happy to be back!

It was my second time staying here and it was as lovely as my first. The location is absolutely fantastic, with a supermarket, lovely independent bottleshop, cafes & restaurants just up the road and a bus out front that takes you into town.The house itself is compact and comfortable with everything one would need for an enjoyable stay.Highly recommended :)

Amazing stay in Paddo!

LOVED walking to Fiveways and Oxford Street. This house was adorable and clean and had everything we needed. It made us fall in love with the area and we can’t wait to return. 2 adults and 4 kids. It was perfect. The hosts were super helpful when one of us got sick and had to visit the emergency room at the hospital.

Convenient and tidy

Great location and local cafes! Very steep stairs that aren’t suitable for older adults. Parking is available but there are many caveats including school drop off times when parking isn’t easy to find. Quite drafty through gaps in doors. Good for a short stay.

The property is in a lovely area of Sydney, really easy to get to the centre but quiet with a great community feel, very attractive and some lovely coffee shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. However the house itself was a little disappointing, in particular the size of the bathroom, it’s super small and has nowhere to put anything, the details do state that it’s downstairs, which wasn’t a problem but the size of the ‘bathroom’ really isn’t fit for purpose especially as the house potentially sleeps six. We were four adults and it was far from ideal. What little storage space there was in the ‘bathroom’ was taken up with existing toiletries including a razor which didn’t feel very hygienic. The fixtures and fittings around the house were adequate, although the second bedroom had no storage. The addition of a few shelves and some hooks to hang clothes would have been a very welcome and simple addition. Overall I certainly wouldn’t describe the house as exceptional.

Great stay with lots to offer

Property was neat, with good access to busses. Neighbourhood is a bit hilly though. We appreciated the pantry supplies and good selection of kitchen utensils. Stairs are steep!

paddington stay for 6 teens

Had an amazing time in Sydney with a group of girls staying in Paddington for 7 nights. Amazing location with easy public transport, bars, shops and nightlife nearby. Hosts were always happy to help and communicated perfectly to make our trip run smoothly. Would highly recommend for both small and big groups as the house is relatively spacious.
