"Great location in Indian Village area. Beautiful restored 1903 mansion of 16,000 square feet. exquisitely furnished with period furniture and paintings. Close to rverything Detroit had to offer. We stayed two nights and will definitely be coming back. Rachel was such a great host and proudly gave my wife and I a tour of the house. We loved every minute of our stay. Large and comfortable room with a super comfortable bed. You’ll love this one of a kind bed and breakfast."

"communtation was excellent. Was meet as we arrived and showen around the property. Excellent home. clean rooms in a quite area. Breakfast was very good, as it was freshly made just for us. We had good conversation with the owner. This is a place you will want to stay at."

"It is a lovely and unique bed and breakfast. Each room was themed, which was really cool. I stayed in the neverland themed room that had such wonderful little details throughout that was a treat to explore. The breakfast was delicious and the set up with service felt like out of a movie. I had a wonderful stay and would stay again!"

"Great location and greater hosts. Two sisters that run a bed and breakfast as it should be. You can sense the pride of ownership as you enter. Off the main streets making it quieter in the evening but still short walking distances to downtown attractions, including all three sporting venues. The smallest of details not overlooked right down to the homemade preserves for breakfast!"

"So, in honesty, I booked this not knowing it was a bed and breakfast… BUT it turned out to be wonderful. It is called “The Sanctuary” for good reason. Dora and Ed are wonder hosts who definitely went above and beyond for our meager overnight stay. The room was clean, the property was so peaceful. Helped my wife and I start out with a slow relaxing morning before making our way to downtown Detroit. Can’t recommend this enough to people who don’t mind a bed and breakfast.
